...Regigas Lv X from IFDS attempted to sacrifice Old Amber. Does it get knocked out? Does it not get knocked out, but you still get the benefits of sacrificing? Does it simply not work? And so on...

EDIT: Bah, scrap this. It says it prevents all damage from "attacks", not poke-powers. Silly me.

(man, how awesome would it be if Gengar IFDS's poke-power didn't have to be triggered by an attack...)
 
Ok, if Old Amber is on your bench it counts as a basic Pokemon, for Regigigas LV.X's Power you Knock Out one of your Pokemon so Old Amber would be sent to the discard pile because it would be counted as a knocked out Pokemon. It would not prevent it from being knocked out because you are using a Power/Effect to knock it out. So it is not damage. Old Amber prevents damage. Good Enough?
