What would moves look like? If you think that a move should look a certain way if it could actually be used, post it here. Ill start with a couple.

Shock Wave:
The Pokemon emits a sphere of crackling electric energy, slowly expanding around the Pokemon, until it hits the target. At this moment, the entire sphere is drawn towards the target, and explodes in an electrical jolt. (Not an actual explosion)

Shadow Ball:
All of the shadows in the area are drawn together into a spinning ball, spinning faster and faster until it is shot towards the target.

Try to include special effects, like possible asleep, or never miss (Like shockwave. I mean, how do you avoid an expanding ball of electricity?)

...Okay... Have you ever seen bite on PBR?
They lunge forward and there is a graphic of teeth..."Shudder"... Besides, the game animations aren,t very imaginative...I just think some moves would have some substance to their appearance.

hydorpump: the pokemon shoots out blasts of water, which gather water vapor as they go, making them larger and more powerful, and which are quite inaccurate.

Nice!

Wood Hammer:
The Pokemon takes any available wood--it suddenly transforms into the shape of a hammer, and the Pokemon strikes the target with incredible force, but it rebounds and the user gets slightly hurt.

Yeah... NOT some of my best work.

This is for a joke

Flamethrower: Throws Flames
Now for serious

Lick: The user licks the oppenant harshly leaving the victim scared.

The anime depicts all those moves as they are and as they should be. So why bother coming up with false ways of describing a move if they already exist?

The anime's moves are different from the manga, and the game. That is 3 posible ways to represent the moves, and how do we know any of them are any good in opinions? This is making no sense...

Some moves aren't in the Anime i.e. Baton Pass

Fire Fang: The user's teeth are coated with flames as the user runs up to the opponent and bites them.

Nice.

Ice Punch:
The user's hand is coated with ice. It uses the extra weight to create added momentum to the punch, and when it strikes, shards of ice fly in all directions.

Cool.

Thunder Fang:
The user gathers Electric in it's fangs using Saliva then savagely bites the victim.

This thread fails. You wanna know what a move looks like? Read the attack description.

^ It doesn't describe what it looks like though : S It describes what it does, I think.

Right. I just got this idea because i always imagined shock wave to look different than it did in the game.

Off topic:

Holy poo! 2 pages!

On topic:

Pin Missile:

The user condenses its spikes (or whatever it has) to be very dense, and shoots them with enormous power at all enemies.

Flamethrower

The pokemon brings out a flamethrower and fires it!!!!!

lol? maybe?

...

Psywave:

The user sends a wave of psychic energy towards the target, corrupting their mind. Experienced users do more damage. (Psywave does damage equal to level like seismic toss)
