BW/BW2 What would you have done differently in BW2?

No game is perfect. There's always something that could be done better. Discuss what you would've done to improve the game.

Here's some things I would've done differently:

-Bring back Rt. 10, Challenger's Cave, and Old Victory Road as post game areas. Rt. 10 and Old Victory Road would be there, but closed off until post game. After that, you can access Rt. 10 from Opelucid City (Old Victory Road would be closed off until you come through the other way). You can also access Challenger's Cave from Rt. 10 now, by going across the bridge and then west to a new entrance (the old entrance would still be there, but blocked by a one way ledge or a Strength boulder). Meanwhile, you can continue north to Old Victory Road, and the entrance to N's Castle would be here instead of New Victory Road (because let's face it, N's Castle ending up east of New Victory Road makes no sense whatsoever).
-Black City/White Forest, Rt. 15, and Marvellous Bridge would be accessible as soon as you can go there from Rt. 14. Black Tower and White Treehollow would be closed off until post game, and the Lunar Wing would also be unavailable until then.
-Pledge Grove now has wild Pokemon in it.
-Add a patch of grass at the entrance of Twist Mountain so you can catch some Ice types there to use against Drayden.
-Expand Relic Castle. You can proceed through the first four floors of it, but the bottom floors are blocked by a Strength boulder. When you come through the Relic Passage entrance, instead of going directly to Volcarona's room, you have to progress through a multi-level maze of quicksand pits (think the bottom floor meets HGSS Victory Road). The maze eventually winds back to the old entrance in BW1 (allowing you to push the boulder in and connect it to the earlier areas of Relic Castle), and eventually down to Volcarona's Room.
- Daycare is now in Flocessy Ranch.
-Change the Pokemon distribution. Far too many Unova Dex Pokemon are clustered towards the end of the game and in post game. Furthermore, the decision to only have Unova Dex Pokemon in post game areas (with the exception of fishing, swarms, etc.) removes the opportunity to catch Pokemon that are either hard to or impossible to find in 5th gen. The obvious solution is to move more Pokemon into mid game areas (which are too similar in distribution to BW1) and free up room in post game for some more National Dex Pokemon. Here's how I'd do that:

-Add in another sage that sides with New Team Plasma so we have more Plasma admins to fight than just Zinzolin and the Shadow Triad.
-Bring back Vs. Seeker
-Bring back the ability to have Pokemon follow you around.
-Add in more Dive spots, maybe in areas like Rt. 4, Rt. 13, and Rt. 17.

Challenger's Cave is unnecessary because BW2 has something BW1 doesn't, and that's Clay Tunnel, and when you think about it, they're pretty much the same thing (different Pokemon distribution, but Clay Tunnel also has the Regis). Route 10 and the Old Victory Road, I definitely agree with. I don't remember spotting anywhere why exactly it got closed off, but whatever. I wouldn't mind a better place to attempt RNGing a Deino without wandering NPCs running around everywhere.

I agree with the idea of Route 15/White Forest/Black City being accessible, but I don't know how that would work. The only logical way would be to add Keys for Black Tower and White Treehollow (eg. if you have B2, the only accessible function is Black City in-game and Black Tower post-game).

Pledge Grove is kinda stupid, seeing as the only purpose is to change Keldeo. Sure, adding wild Pokemon would be cool, but what is there to add? It's so early in the game that the only logical things to add would be Purrloin and Patrat.

I agree about Volcarona being too easy to access, but I'm glad at least Relic Passage is there for convenience of getting there, without having to go through Relic Castle. I like your idea of how it would work.

I have no solid opinion on the Day Care being moved, because I don't know what would replace the Day Care on Route 3. Flocessy Ranch seems like a good idea, or maybe even Route 5.

I agree with Pokemon distribution, and I feel like Route 13 (the really big route with land and water) should have featured a lot more Pokemon than it had to offer. Stuff like Yanma, Slakoth, Lickitung, and others were taking up space where other National Dex Pokemon could have done (see; Whismur, Torkoal, Nincada, etc.).

I agree with more Team Plasma people; the amount was a little underwhelming IMO. Vs. Seeker would be so great, and more Dive Spots would be cool (I liked Dive Spots in R/S/E where you could actually find Pokemon), so stuff like Chinchou and Relicanth would belong there. However, I don't like the idea of Pokemon following you around. It was kind of awkward in HG/SS and I kind of wished there was a button to turn it off and on when you wanted to (and didn't want to) use it.

I hadn't actually made the connection between Challenger's Cave and Clay Tunnel. But now that I think about it, I guess you're right. Clay Tunnel and to some degree Wellspring Cave do actually make up for Challenger's Cave being gone. In that case, then, they should've done something more with Wellspring Cave, then. Aside from that absurdly strong Veteran moving there, there's nothing really interesting there.

I was thinking Rt. 10 and Old Victory Road would be post game. So no Deino there. If you really want Deino earlier, I was thinking Mistralton Cave or something.

An NPC would block the entrance.

Typical Forest Pokemon (Cottonee/Petilil, Venipede, the monkeys), Sunkern, Slakoth, and maybe Timburr so you have something better to use against Cheren. It really isn't all Patrats and Purrloins at that point, Rt. 20 and Flocessy Ranch have a huge diversity for so early in the game, so it wouldn't hurt to spread those Pokemon out a bit more.

I was thinking Dwebble/Crustle, Lickitung, Shuckle, and Tropius for Rt. 13.
