Hey, I was wondering, what is meant by a 'rouge' deck? Or is it 'rogue'?
Anyway, is it just a deck that has no strategy and has a lot of search/draw cards and a bunch of powerful pokemon?

Basically, Rogue Decks are unexpected decks that will be seen around the tourney area. Due to this, a Rogue deck will have the Element of surprise to Trick and terminate your opponent with many not popular Cards.

Having lotsa different Techs also makes a rogue deck different from any other decks. Other than that, the word "lock" and "abuse" are really well, abused. Lock uses different and disruptive Trainers to lock and/or stall your opponent while you attack at the same time, leaving you with an easy win, if it is sucessful. Abuse is mainly about maxing a card in the deck and use its power or effect throughtout the game.

Well, that's all I can say.

To save you all the brain power to process that i'll sum up what armaldoex means...

A Rogue deck is something which ISNT an Archetype (or anything well known).

It depends, if you are using a deck that is un-popular, then it is considered a Rogue deck, including it wins Many important and big competitions like Nationals and City Championships. It must be a deck that uses the element of surprise. As long as you have that, you can have a powerful rogue deck.

Also having a lot of techs are needed for a Rogue. Try PM-ing me the decklist, and I'l determine whether it is a Rogue or not. Just feel free to Drop me a PM if you have anything to ask. TQ,

Rogue decks don't need to have 'surprise'. They're classified as 'Rogue' because they're are not seen in the metagame. Anything which is original and new is considered 'Rogue'. As long as you don't use the same combos/strategies/pokemon which is based on/around an Archetype then your deck will be considered 'Rogue'...

That's based on the definition that Rogue is:
"Operating outside normal or desirable controls" (considering taking Archetype's as "normal")
or
"Large, destructive, and anomalous or unpredictable"

heh, I sent u a deck list, but it is crap, I made a new deck. I'll go test it out ina tourney and I'll come back and report how it goes...
