Ruling Whats the difference between PokePowers and PokeBodies?

RE: whats the differents between pokepowers and pokebodies

One is green, one is red (The label anyway).

One is constantly in play (Unless locked), one has to be called.

In case you really have absolutely NO idea what they are.

I know this is not my thread, but to save starting a new one I am going to ask a question which the TS likely wants to know anyway;

Can a Pokepower be used if it's Pokemon is on the bench?

You are allowed to use Poke-Powers anywhere as long as any card does not prohibit its use in any certain spot, whether it be as the Active or on the Bench.

Ummm... No. Some Poke-Powers can only be used when active or on the bench.

Read the text of the Power. It will tell you when, how many times and in what position it is usable in.

Poke-Bodys are always on, unless an effect on some other pokemon or a cards effect forbid it (like cessation crystal when it is in play and active). Same goes for Powers.

Again, always read the card carefully. The text should always have the necessary rules you should go by.

If you encounter a card with a specific Power, Body or attack you can't understand what it does, come here and ask again. It is much easier to answer a question about a specific ruling than to start explaining everything there is to tell and generalize rules on every card.

Edit: Sorry PMJ. Sentance yours so that I read couldn't. English not my native language :p XD

That's what I said. :/ Poke-Powers aren't restricted to any spot, and unless a card (usually the card with the power) says otherwise, you can use them anywhere.

i still don't understand the differents can you use poke bodies or powers on the bench and is there one you can use in your deck

Pokebodies are the little green things that are ALWAYS active. You DON'T have to announce it when you use them.

The red ones are Poke-bodies, which you have to announce what they do.

You can only use them at certain times if the card says so. If it says you can't use it while its on the bench, then you can only use it while its your active. Poke-bodies are always active either way.

wait witch ones are poke powers. Also lets say gardy pk can i use it's pokepower from the bench

Poke-powers are the red ones.

What do you mean can you use Gardy PK?

Since Bodies are always active, what happens when both players forget about them, and then realize it a few turns later? (Happens quite often with Ampharos it seems.)

Poke Powers are the red one
Poke Bodies are the green one

Poke Bodies are always active. You can use it from the bench unless stated(e.g Kabutops PK)You don't need to say it to use it.Poke Powers are the one you need to say it to use it.Almost all of the Poke Powers can be use on the bench unless stated.Cards like Cessation Crystal,Battle Frontier and Lati-lock prevents player from using Poke powers and Poke Bodies. And yes,you can use Gardevoir PK Poke Power from the bench.

Poke-Powers are in Red Color. For example; Gardevoir PK. Poke-Powers are usable in any position & you have to announce it when you gonna use it. It does not matter whether it has to be Active or Benched UNLESS stated. For example; Gardevoir ex δ. So to answer your Gardevoir question. Yes, you can use it in the Bench as well UNLESS stated like Gardevoir ex δ.

Poke-Body are in Green Color. For example; Skarmory ex. Poke-Body is 24/7 on. That means you don't have to announce it when you are gonna use it because it is automatically ON for 24/7 but note that some Poke-Body will be shut down if they are affected by Special Conditions.

Further info about both Poke-Power & Poke-Body:

Poke-Powers
Some pokemon have special "Poke-Powers" that they can be used when they are in play.(Remember, Benched Pokemon are "in play", too, so they can use Poke-Powers, if they have any.) Many of these Powers can be used before you attack. Each Poke-Power is different, though, so you should read carefully to see how each power works.

You start applying them when you remember. If several turns have passed, you can't go back and repair the game state, but you do the right thing from that point forward.

In a tournament, penalties will likely be assessed to both players for failing to maintain the game state.
