When cute Pokemon attack.

Most people have cute little pokemon to help our big EX guys to defeat our opponents, but some times, we don't get to draw the ideal hand and must face a fearsome opponent with something more cute than Sakura Kinomoto (Avalon for you USA friends).

Some decks have cards like Holon's Castform, Tropius D, Holon's Voltorb or Magnemite or (in my situation) a Swablu D... and it's awful when in your opening hand have those cute little guys being thrown into battle!... and the worst part of it is when you don't have any energy/supporter card!.

Personally, I've had played some matches with three Swablu in play, and no water energy and nothing more than mere will to face things like metanite or Feraligatr D. And before that... I've had a Corsola UF facind a Medicham D... and the top fight has been a Holon Castform against a Mew EX LM... so, did you ever had a cute pokemon eager for battle against the world?

95% percent of my battle were like that. back when I was 10 and I had 55 basc pokemon, 3 evos, and 2 energies.

Now though, Ive had one very recently, the matchup was my Trapinch D Vs their T2 Aggron Ex CG. That was the one time a Trapinch got pwnd before it was a Flygon D.

Another one hat recently occured was Holon's Castform vs a T3 Flygon Ex D.
Casty lasted 3 turns (he was attaching energy), I am very proud of my Casty. :D

My SPinda and Dunsparce were increadibly useful, the former stalled for about 3 turns while drawing and Dunsparce was fun with the instant confusion.

Dunsparce can even be used in a deck. If you play him with Arbok and wobbufett or something, you can really annoy them. :D Anyways, I usually use my Ledian or Arbok D if I can't get my main attackers in each deck respectively.

I wish Poliwrath FRGL's Spiral will come back. Tripping turn, Dunsparce switches with Spiraler, Lock. Then , if you want, use either Houndoom to block switching trainers, or use an anti-Power card to block switching Powers. Maybe BF, seeing as Mighyena EX is the only one...

One friend one fought an opponen with only a CG Squirtle (te pokebody/paralyzing one)... and he won!, since the squirtle stalled the opponent meanwhile he drawed the cards he nedded.

I remember this time when my Whishmur bathed in blood against a Salamance, neither my opponent or me drawed other basic, and he evolved too fast his dragon.

And the time I've had a 1 turn match: HP Meowth D + Dark Energy + CG Shuppet= Winner!!!!

how is castform cuter then mew???, don't you mean 'when little guys attack'

anyhow, if you're building a deck, choosing the right basics is a very important thing, people who put their decklist online and say 3-2-3 dragonite ex should mention their basics, really, you can have the awful DF basics, or the cool dratinis from DS, it shows that you paid absolutely no attention to your basics, while you should have, basic FTW

I also end up starting with H's basics or annoying babies, like 3 of my battles at worlds, GRRR

What's really annoying is when you shut off baby powers so that they can't evolve at all, and then they're stuck with baby pokemon on the bench. >.> Now that they have to evolve via a power.

Dude, Holon Castform is a cute little ball with big puppy eyes... meanwhile Mew EX LM looks like a irritated cat, meanacing and ready to make an awsome blow. Everybody knows that we have to keep some proportion with the rest of our Pokemon, and yes you have 3-2-3 or whatever combinations fits you, but you have sometimes to rely in other pokemon, not only big ones., and it's annoying when your cute support pokemon faces death without hesitation (and common sense by the way).

I'm sorry but I find Holon's castform to not only be 0% cute, but also a little disturbing if you think about it.

Anyways, yes it's always the little ones we count on, especially the ones with insta sleep, flip for paralysis, or poison. Status or suprising basics are sometimes what win games.

First, I should have said that this post is abuot the times you don't get your main attacker, and instead you have a poor basic attacking for 2 or 3 turns.

"Cute" doesn't refers (at least in this topic) on look, but in power and/or stats, so a Holon Castform looks cute next to a Allmighty Mew EX LM...

My little Shuppet with no energy to do Accession.

A Pidgey with no energy
A super heroic Corsola UF that knocked out a Medicham EX EM and a Houndoom UF
A Holon Voltorb with... another Holon Voltorb as energy
A Wailmer LM with two fighthing energies.

yeah.. there were a few times, when my cute lil dunsparce had to use its sudden flash
but kinda useful though.. hehe :)

All pre-evos are cute. That's how the system works. So you're almost never going to have a non-fluffy little thing out first turn.

Arcanine out.

1. Wierd...what did that do?

Cursed my luck, and saw the making of a KFP (Kentucky Fried Pidgey)

2. Uh... you lost me.

Sitch was as follows... my opponen were using the Medicham EX (110 HP) and I managed to deal 100 HP damage, so he retreated his pokemon and thrown Houndoom (70 HP) to battle, then my Poliwrath UF dealt 60 damage to that Pokemon, in his next move he retreated the evil puppy and knocked out my Plowrath, so I had Corsola with a water energy attache to it and then I used its double attack to deal the damage to his weakened Pokemon and presto!, 3 prices in one move.

You se, once I've made a deck with no basic energies and used Holon's Magnemites and Holon's Voltorbs and Explode as energies to power up my Persians D and Mightyenas D, and that duel I began with only the Magnemites and Voltorbs as basic Pokemon... so... there it's the story.

4. Yay, double tackle.

Before making some modifications to my Swamptoise deck, I used the CG Fighting type with Pokepower Swampert. As the duel began I didn't had any other basic than Wailmer and in top of it, no water energies... so I only saw how my whale was slaughtered as if being hunted down by japanese fishermen.
