Hey there everyone been a long time player for a bunch of years. And within the last 4 or so years I took a break from playing and I want to get back into playing again but boy I feel like I missed A ton lol. I know there is a rotation coming up and certain sets will be leaving us but then I hear there is going to be all kinds of different modified, standard and so on and i'm sure once they release what they are going to do i can figure out what to do from there. I'm more of a player then collector (my wife collects) But thinking of just picking up a few of the new starters and start with the flash fire set and go from there. i can also get my hands on a few of the red Genisic (however you spell it lol ) decks with the good trainers in there. I'm more of a rouge player so give me a few ideas what is hot out there deck wise or will there be a huge shake up with the rotation coming up and just wait it out to see what happens and go from there. I also know there is a new set coming out Something Fists also...

RE: Where to start again ???

A strong deck right now is yveltal EX garbador which will lose some aspects with the rotation but should still be good. Virizion EX and Genesect EX is another good deck right now. As far as you wanting to play a rouge deck is tough to give examples beacuse there are so many rouge decks but greninja/ miltank is a deck i would consider rouge and it is a pretty good deck.

Some staples that you will need for a deck would include proffesor sycamore, N, Colress, Ultra Balls, and some sort of switching cards like switch, escape rope, float stone.

RE: Where to start again ???

you think alot of stuff will fade with beach rotating out ? I used to run a real fun gayados and shuppet decks

RE: Where to start again ???

Its possible that decks like blastise and emboar will lose some competitve value but i think they will still be good with out tropical beach. delphox from xy is a good replacment for beach in my eyes.

RE: Where to start again ???

Blastoise will still be good without Tropical Beach, I know that because I run a Blastoise/Keldeo EX deck and I have to Tropical Beach to my name what so ever. In truth I think most decks will survive without it, as most players don't have it to run at all. I do however think sooner or later it'll be reprinted for the current format.
