Discussion Which Booster Box Would You Open?

So got 3 booster boxes fairly cheap of different sets originally to sell most but now im thinking of opening one. Im mainly a collecter but have nearly finished the evolutions set which got me started again. Which box would you open? Fates collide, Ancient origins or break point? Which has the most sought after cards in?

Didnt know where to post this; there doesnt seem to be a tcg general chit chat!
 
Ancient Origins and Breakpoint probably are the most sought after over Fates.

AO has Giritina EX, golden Trainer's Mail, and Hoopa EX.

BP has Greninja Break, Scizor EX and the mega, and Full Art Skyla.

Just naming a few of the competitive desirable cards from the sets, not sure how being a collector would affect the decision though so it might depend what you already have. Are you looking to sell the singles if you pull them, start playing, or just collect?
 
Thanks Guardian thats very helpful, I do plan on dabbling more into playing. me and the wife currently play with a few of the pre built decks and quite enjoy. Higher value cards would be nice then i could either trade to make two reasonable decks or use them in the decks.
 
If your looking to get into the competitive scene without breaking the bank, singles are the way to go, booster boxes are fun to open but almost never break even. If you want to open a booster box for fun, I would reccomend Breakpoint as it contains many playable cards such as: Darkrai EX, Scizor EX, Greninja BREAK, Garbodor, and many more.
 
I agree with Jackson Ford. with any booster box.... you may wind up with a dozen or so "good" cards... but the rest are mostly commons.
which is fine if thats your objective. depending on the set, you usually get a few EXs and sought after trainers
if you wind up playing more. the pre built decks are usually not very competitive.
they have way too many different pokemon and way too many energy.
depending on the deck... you usually roughly want about dozen pokemon. and maybe a dozen energy.
the rest of the deck should be trainers/supports. heavy on draw support like sycamore, vs seeker, ultraball, etc...

that being said, if collecting, booster boxes, and opening packs gives you joy. go for it.
