Which box to buy?

I'm new to the game and have just started collecting. I want to buy a box and am wondering wether to buy platinum to finish up my needs for my dialgachomp deck, or triumphant since after this season sp will probably die due to rotation?

I'd go with Triumphant but if you really want to complete your DialgaChomp, buy Platinum. You could buy Triumphant and then buy your DialgaChomp cards through eBay or Toad and Troll instead.

I would say HeartGold & SoulSilver, it's a good box to buy for a beginner. But between those 2, I'd pick Platinum.

I would provide more reasons but then they would picked apart by the hoardes of people who would campaign to buy Triumphant as if this is a good competition.

I even avoided mentioning certain sets that would drive others angry for some reason (i.e. Undaunted, Rising Rivals, Supreme Victors)
 
The season is still pretty new, and you don't know what they will rotate if anything.
Ether way I would go with HGSS.
 
plus, you can always trade/sell the cards you get in triumphant for the cards you need to complete your dialgachomp deck
 
since you are getting Triumphant, you have a big chance of getting some of the awesome Primes and Legends.
