Which is more popular and cool to you? Manga or Anime and why?

for me:
Manga: I find the cast interesting but the names are a bit silly. XD Also I really LOOOVE Sapphire from the RSE Series.
Anime: Ash is the main hero in the series and I like his Pokemon's strength too.

Tell me what are your answers and why!

Manga is really better then the anime since the anime is stuck in loop hole, same old characters barely any plot twists that aren't obvious, in the manga the story is really good and original for the love off god.

I think the anime is better, since theres more battles and adventure. The Manga is good as well.
 
Manga, non-stop. The anime fails in comparison to the manga, IMO.

Why, you ask? The plot doesn't repeat with a certain formula(Pokemon/Person-of-the week anyone?). Plus, there is more consistency when it comes to the plot as well(unlike Ash's Pikachu that has a lot of experience from other regions but gets owned by an Elekid right at the start of the DP saga). Also, at least the characters in the Manga have the decency to fight with their pokemon, unlike in the anime where they just command the attacks and stand there. Plus, the characters actually age here. Red, for example, started 10 in the very first chapter but when the FRLG saga came in, he was 16.

Also, I would like to add how awesome the continuity is in the manga, like how even one small detail in one page could become important later in the series.
 
IDK I've never actually seen any of the Pokemon manga, but I'd still probably say anime... Mostly just cause you don't have to pay as much for stuff on TV and you can watch it on the internet and stuff lol :)
 
The anime gets too repetitive. The manga, although it has some flaws, is still nice to read and actually entertaining.
 
The manga (I assume you mean Special) is amazing. The anime is, decidedly, not. Therefore, gonna have to go with the manga. It's a lot bigger on plot, the characters are more interesting and three-dimensional, the battles are absolutely epic, et cetera.
 
No amount of anime battles come close to the sheer quality of the manga. There's not even a question or doubt about it.
 
It used to be the animé for me, that ended with the advanced generation. It just got so stupid and repetitive, along with them taking months to reach the next gym.

I completely agree with this statement. There is no reason anyone shouldn't pick up and read the Adventures series. It's definitely ontop of the amazement list for me, as well as a series I like to read and purchase often.
 
There's one thing I don't understand about a lot of posts here...

Not to target anyone, just saying that I see a lot of "the anime has more action" when really, it doesn't... even during their adventures in the manga, a lot of action happens, even when they're not using Pokemon. The action isn't insanely repetitive either. So I don't get the "Anime has more action" statement when it's not really true, I mean, they recycle the same frames so many times per episode, it's just lazy animation, no action at all. :/

That's my 2 cents on the anime.
