Which pack do you think will be banned and which have been banned?

I don't know which is going to be banned and which have banned, Can you guys tell me plz?I don't wanna buy the banned one!!!Help!
 
First of all, you can play unlimited back at home.
Second of all, EX Deoxys forward are allowed.
The following packs are permitted in the Modified Format:
EX Deoxys
EX Legend Maker
EX Unseen Forces
EX Delta Species
EX Holon Phantoms
EX Power Keepers
EX Emerald
EX Dragon Frontiers
EX Crystal Guardians
POP1
POP2
POP3
POP4
POP5
Black Star Promo's numbered 029 and up
Any reprinted Cards
I think that's all. Someone please correct me if I made a mistake.
 
If you mean banned as not in modified legal, then the current format is every set from Deoxys through Power Keepers. If you don't know which sets those are go to the main page here and check out the left tab under the Ex series.

No one knows what the next Modified format will be once Worlds '07 is done. Many think it will be Delta Species on, but some think it might be Holon Phantom on also. It's even possible that they could leave the current Modified legal cards as is, since Japan still uses more sets than are currently allowed in the US Modified format.

If you are really worried about cards rotating out, I'd suggest saving your money for Diamond and Pearl cards which will be in format for quite a while now (more than likely after Worlds '09, maybe even '10)
 
That's so not fair! they use more sets than us? gaah.

Anyway, it is indeed Deoxys on. I splurged on a bunch of PK and DF packs today, I'm gonna save all of my money from today on for DP since as Darkwalker said they'll be in modified format for quite a while.
 
Its pretty simple why they keep rotating out cards here. Money. Japan just recently switched from RubySapphire - on to FireRed/LeafGreen - on.

As for the sets I'm not buying/trading in anymore, they're DX, EM and UF. I'm sure those will be rotated out. DS is edgy, and LM is in the safe zone I think.

You mean they might push it back to the Ruby/Saphire set?

That could be great if they could.
At the moment I don't have good enough cards to put together a decent deck but if they pushed it back I would dominate. :D

Pokemon orignated in japan. Obviously since they get everything before anywhere else. Well if they use still the same cards with no banning then why be different and make it harder for us?

Are you serious??
If it's true, I'll be happy because i can use back the old cards...
 
It would make sense to have Japan and the rest of the world on similar formats. However it would be fairly difficult for those of us new to the game to get some of the better old cards.
 
It would be intersting for some older stratagies to come back. Having old school verses newbies might be interesting.
 
Noone is sure about the next sets to be rotated after Worlds. But my best guess is it will be either DS-on or LM-on.

Every year they do rotate 3 or 4 sets depending of the number of sets released, so my previsions are:

DX will be rotated out
EM will be rotated out
UF will be rotated out
DS could keep or not
LM will keep :)
HP will keep
CG will keep :)
DF will keep
PK will keep :)
DP will enter :)

Gah so unfair! We should be able to play as many as Japan. :(
 
It's just speculation. Anyways, we won't regret to RS-on, because RS, SS and DR cards are reprinted on PK. So, if we do regret, it will be to HL-on.
