King Arceus said:White 2 does pick-up where the first one leaves off in terms of storyline, but White is not necessary to enjoy the game. It feels like you have more variety in White 2 near the beginning of the game than in the original. Additionally, future events will be for BW2 anyway so I'd say to just get White 2.

But why would the newer game cost less? It doesn't make any sense.

W2 on the other hand, fixed all that was wrong, and made it MUCH better!

While the sequels have sold quite a bit, they (probably) haven't sold half of what the originals have sold, and they aren't really set up to be selling for years to come what with a whole new gen on the way and their nature of being sequels. Thus, they are thrown into the figurative bargain bin, where good deals are fairly easy to find and stock is plentiful. Best Buy was just having a clearance on BW2 for $15.

BW1 were the only main-series Pokemon games to have a remotely decent story-line.Salamencetrainer34 said:Pokemon white 1 was horrible. The storyline was obviously rushed. The pokemon availble suck. You can breeze through the game in about 5 hours, not that much post-game stuff.
