Why can't I find Arceus tins?

According to all of the distributors my FLGS uses, the tins are not officially set to release until 12/16/2009. This might be why you're having difficulty finding them.

Funny, I just went to my Wal-Mart and they had TONS of them... Ebay here I come!!! xD But yeah, I don't know what's up with that. Tons in one area, none in another... Well, good luck AEN... =]
 
Another really funny thing is at my local store, they had loads of tins (when the set was due to release), yesterday when I got one, they STILL hadn't got them.....
 
It's been a while since I've checked a local store, but the last time I went they had no Arceus tins at all. I'm assuming there might have been a packaging mistake seeing how some areas do have it, and some areas don't after the release date.
 
Sceptileblade411 and I were at Target three days after the launch to pick up our first Arceus cards. We hoped to pick up some of those swanky tins. When we got there went straight to cards section and there were NONE. Not a single pack. And there were no Empty racks to indicate that they had sold ought of them. Then. we saw (behind Happinny and Lopunny promos) Target mini blisters from Arceus! (you know, the checkoutlane packs) But that's all they had. I picked up 3 sceppy got five, and then we headed over to the service desk. (I really wanted that tin) They lady we spoke with said she didn't think they had any in the back because she was the one who put them out on wednesday. We bought 'em, went back to sceptile's house, and opened them. Sceptile pulled Holos in every pack two of them were Arceus and all I got was a Spiritomb. :(

^ I just picked an Arceus tin up yesterday, but it wasn't at my target, it has (apperantly) only been shipped to Wal-mart stores. This may not be true for missouri, but it seems to be at wal-mart stores right now.

theyre not supposed to be released in missourri until 12/16/09, you can have it as a christmas present!
 
I checking Wal-Mart quickly today to see if they have em'. My Wal-mart usually sucks when it comes to getting Pokemon tins in on time, but I can only hope, because one time they released some packs really early.

when did you get here sam? and how did you find me?
 
PA, I will check at Wally's and Target here later...but so far, from what I've heard and read here, it seems that some vendors for Wally's and Target may have jumped the gun on setting those out for sale
 
Yeah wal mart seems to be the place where all of them are because as of yesterday at my wal-mart(FL) they were fully stocked with tins and packs
 
I got an Arceus Tin at the place my Pokémon League is held at on 11th November, was a great Tin too. If you can't seem to find one any time soon, why not try and get one online? I'm sure you'd find it a little cheaper anyway. (I think they changed the UK Tins though, as I didn't get a POP9 pack in mine...)

My usual online vendor doesn't have them. Is there a place that does? (besides ebay. Too expensive there unless you buy 6)

I highly doubt they would know something like that, considering that releases aren't done in a state-by-state manner...while they do that for different regions of the world, they don't that for the states...once it's released for the states, ALL states get them

so as I said...it could be that some of the vendors for Wal-Mart and Target have jumped the gun with setting those out for purchase, or just not all the vendors have managed to get shipments of tins in...however, Cache has theirs, they just haven't set them out for purchase because they are still under the impression that the tins are not to be released until december as previously stated in an earlier news report, which could mean that some vendors for Wally's and Target are doing the same thing
 
12/16 was supposed to be the original release date (IIRC) but some States released them earlier than others.
