Why do people concede? I read all these Tourny reports and people concede right after a bad hand. I can understand if its top cut and you want to save time, but what about other times.

Because some people could not take a humiliating loss from someone weak.
If you're under complete lockdown and you can do nothing, its better to fold rather as play on, watching painfully how everything is just dragged out. No point in playing a very one-sided game if there is no retaliation option left.
Pride is at stake. Somehow i don't think it's a good idea to give up just like that because sometimes your luck might just change and the tables are turned.
I never give up, since I don't really care if I get dragged through a humiliating loss. It's more gametime, right? I also don't care for pride (I wouldn't say I'm horrible, but there are much more competitive players than me.)
