DPPt/HGSS Why did my Platinum FC change?

I just got another DS and I put in Platinum and attempted to go on Wi-Fi as usual and wondering why my FC changed? If I put it back into my original DS will my orignal FC be back or will it be another new FC? Thanks XD. Hopefully someone can help me out. Thanks.:)
 
More specifically, they change when you go onto Wi-fi on another DS. When you get onto another DS and just mess around in standard play, nothing happens to your FC. You also lose your enitre Pal Pad list also.
 
^Just note that, when you do try to connect to Wifi on another DS, it does tell you that all your Pal Pad info will be erased, and if I recall correctly it says it resets your friend code as well. You got no such message...?
 
I did get a few messages but did not see that part. Will my old FC return if I use my other DS? I am guessing no right? Thanks.:)
 
Well I think it will. Your FC depends on your game, profile on game, and DS if I am correct.
 
So if I were to switch back my FC will be the old one or a new FC again? I am confused. Thanks.:)
 
One thing is for sure, you won't get your Pal Pad buddies back. I'm going to say that you won't get the same FC either because of the reason that I just stated.
 
Aw crud. that stinks. the only way I can get it back is to keep switching until it shows up again. That sucks XD.:)
