Will Digimon make a comeback in America?

It seems like it already has in Japan (don't know for sure with North America though) with a new game for PSP called "Digimon Adventure" here's the video for it:

There's also an English Dub for Digimon: Xros Wars by Saban Entertainment:

Last but not least there's a smartphone app called "Digimon Crusader":

RE: Will Digimon make a comeback?

Digimon Adventure for PSP isn't the newest game (and honestly, imo it looks very bad)

Re:Digitize Decode is (and much better of a game to boot)

Hoping it gets localized because it is perhaps one of the most perfect digimon games out there so far.
Digimon has already made it's comeback and earned awards. Xros wars is fairly good except for the third part of it - which in my opinion stretched it out too much to build for the part where all the previous goggle-heads and Masaru return.

Hoping Digimon gets a bit more light and attention here again.

It's possible, but I'm not sure. I never was a fan of Digimon to begin with; although, it's always nice to see an anime make a return. ^^

RE: Will Digimon make a comeback?

I would hope so, I've always liked Digimon. They don't localize many of the games though so I doubt re:digitize decode will make it over, but hey you never know. I'm glad the Xros Wars anime comes over soon though.

Decode is the littlest bit annoying though because of the death system. Ill be in the middle of a quest and then my digimon will revert back to a digi egg and then I have to go back into town and raise it from scratch because lower than Ultimate or Mega level at this point in the game aren't strong enough to take onto adventure fields without getting pwned and dying all over again. And they only live for a set amount of time too. So that grates on my patience. (I have a Japanese 3DS so I can play imports)

That's what Digimon is though.

^ I know it made its origin on Tamagotchi, and as a cyber pet, But there are plenty of games in the series that don't use the death and raising system. These I much prefer, Its pretty hard to go have an RPG adventure when your battle monster keeps dying and resetting. Digimon Story for DS series I really enjoyed since they didn't die unless you wanted them too, so if you needed a powerful monster any previously raised are readily available any time.
The raising and death system I have more fun with when its a cyber pet and no goals need to be achieved beyond raising it, otherwise I find it frustrating when I want to continue the games story but cant because of my rapidly depleting monster life cycles.

Lol no. As far as I know they said that the latest anime season of Digimon will be the last ever.

Too bad Lost Evolution and Xros Wars Red and Blue never got translated. :(

I know right? Luved the DS game series. I never wound up importing red or blue xros wars since they were very expensive at release, like 80 dollars, ouch. And now that the show for these is finally coming over its unlikely that those games will since DS isn't so profitable anymore, so that import window was defiantly missed for North America. :(

Lost Evolution I can understand.
But I have played Xros Wars Red/Blue and can assure you it is something we can do without, and wasn't needed. If anything it's what killed that DS series.

Also there's a lovely little thing in Decode that existed in the first game too - A method of backing yer digimon up for multiplayer. If anything Decode seems to make raising what you want a lot easier.

There are still DS games being made...
I wonder if the Wii U can have DS games in its virtual console.
