XY Will there be a new TCG gimmick for the 6th generation?

well i was thinking black and white on will end pretty soon and X & Y on (or something like that will come).

So i am asking you guys what kind of cards you expect or would like to see?

I would like.
1. TM cards like in pokemon VS set http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pok%C3%A9mon_VS_(TCG)

2. Lv.delta cards same as Lv.X cards but with 2 types like in ex delta species.

TM cards i think could bee made after 2nd or 3rd set but Lv.delta cards after 3rd or 4th set.

There will probably be a "new" gimmick to go along with the new X & Y sets. I say "new" in quotation's because Pokemon seems to be running out of new idea. Reintroducing EX's is cool and all, but I'd like some new mechanics please, not something we've already seen. Multi-type Pokemon being a more common thing would be cool, as long as they're not Delta Species, Delta Species was a dumb idea on paper. TM's were already pseudo-reintroduced with Genecect EX's G-Booster and G-Scope, but it would be cool to get more of them in regular trainer form.

no TM`s where introduced in pokemon VS set and now that i think about it Lv.delta is stupid i need to find new name for it any ideas?

man its hard to come up with better names how about pokemon alfa (alfa hydragon , alfa garchomp and so on)

any way TM`s can bee something like ace spec cards except maximum of 2 not 1 TM in deck. that would bee good to deal with spamable cards like Bruno's TM 01 or Will's TM 01 & 02 they made me mad when my pals from japan used them we ignored text that they can bee attached only to bruno`s or will`s pokemon my favorite TM was Bugsy's TM 01 risky but great wen flips went my way. http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pok%C3%A9mon_VS_(TCG)

...You realize Technical Machines exist outside Japan as well, right? Several of them have seen massive competitive play, for that matter, like Ancient Technical Machine Rock. There is really no reason to restrict them, gaining new attacks is not a big deal. (And if it was, Mew EX and Mew Prime would be broken.) As long as the attacks aren't both uber-powerful and on a permanent Technical Machine (prior to the Diamond/Pearl era, Technical Machines only lasted 1 turn), they're fine.

As for new "gimmicks", DNA Link Pokemon similar to Yu-Gi-Oh!'s fusions could work if my hunch about the DNA Splicers playing a larger role in X/Y plays out.

I get the feeling there possibly won't be one, though. With the exception of Pokemon LEGEND and Ace Specs (and I guess Restored Pokemon, but they're pretty minor), we haven't had a unique mechanic in a very long time. They seem comfortable with Pokemon-EX. I would be fine with any old card type except those involving shiny Pokemon making a return, however.

Im sure there might be new Gym leader and Elite 4 cards and whoever/whatever the bad guys are.

If Team Rocket comes back i hope there Blood Red Border cards

You're clearly unfamiliar with how Fusions in Yu-Gi-Oh! work, exerty. They exist in a seperate pile to your Deck, and are usually played by using another card to combine two or more other monsters.

Crystal, ex, Lv. X, Great/Prime, EX... the different with this EX was that only basics and legendaries were the stars while ex had stage 2's. But the 2 prizes rule remained. Personally I think it should be 3 prizes with how fast they knock everything out. I definitely do not want overpowered basic's for the XY sets.

I can't think of a good idea for a gimmick but I hope it makes stage 2 pokemon shine and not Legendaries.

In that case i doubt DNA pokemon will exist since there are no pokemon that evolve by fusing together maybe pokemon that evolved by trade in game will get some sort of gimmick. like put a special tool card on benched pokemon and only then next turn you can evolve it.(i know if they reprint tool scraper it goes down the drain)

Black Kyurem and White Kyurem follow the fusion concept perfectly. Like I said, I anticipate that the DNA Splicers will play a greater role in X and Y, adding potentially many more.

well its an exception kyurem absorbed zekrom/reshiram in black2/white2 but in the movie keldio and the swords of justice kyurem had the power to use the power of zekrom and reshiram on his own and i really doubt that they will make more pokemon like kyurem since that will make him less special. That makes fusion cards weary unlikely. :rolleyes:

anybody else has an opinion of his own?:D

well i know delta species but i think that is complete nonsense (we will make so many ?/steel type pokemon + types that makes no sens like electric type charmander and electric/steel charizard.:(

why not just two type pokemon, it would make the game more interesting, and who wouldn't want a dual typed dialga, reshiram or any other card.

I agree same engine as crystal cards but only 2 types that they really are.

o_O that slip my mind but LEGEND wear used not too long ago in HG/SS ON format.

Pokemon LEGEND aren't that similar to Fusions. You're still required to have all the necessary cards in your Deck (and consequently, hand), whereas a Fusion Monster exists seperately to the Deck. (Plus, Fusion Materials are usable as monsters in their own right, a single LEGEND piece is unusable. To give an example of how it could work in Pokemon, even if you didn't have the card necessary to fuse your Kyurem and Zekrom into Black Kyurem, you could still use the Kyurem or Zekrom, giving you some options, unlike a dead LEGEND piece.) There's also the possibility that there could be multiple different Fusion versions of Black Kyurem, giving you multiple options when combining them.

i think everybody will get tired from fusion cards if all we haw is black/white kyurem.

i also like idea about TM`s and the cards that are like crystal pokemon but only haw their real types for example blziken will be fire or fighting type depending what kind of energy you attached last and that will make players think more.

All I know is they better print a large base set for XY- and include AT LEAST 2 draw supporters and 2 other types of supporters. A BTS supporter would be nice to get around the candy nerf, or even a Collector type supporter (really need this back for stage 2 decks IMO) where you discard X cards from your hand in order to search for X basic Pokemon (add in- EXCLUDING Pokemon EX to make it balanced).

Id like to see Pokemon that are Basic and overpowered become multi-weakness, EG: Keldeo EX would be weak to Electric AND Grass. Also, I would like to see TMs make a return, since I got back into the game waaay too late to experience the mechanic.

i don`t want any OP cards i had more than i like to see of that this format.

i also was not able to play with TM`s much because i quit playing after e-series i started again in HG/SS format. well i was able to play with TM`s with some pals before i quit http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pok%C3%A9mon_VS_(TCG)
