Top five Premium players though (and also no-one from the top four). There might not be too many to choose from so there's bound to be some Meta decks in the mix.

Well you know, if only ten or so premium players enter each month, ..all you need to do is have an exceptionally creative deck, or at least a tweak on a meta deck and suddenly that membership is paying for itself in booster packs..

Usually it's 5 Boosters if Im not mistakened, but I would be interested to know what other types of goodies you can get! :)

Congratulations! You have found a clue, but you still have a lot more to travel! Continue on your journey to the next clue which can be found at the location where Celever received a B in school. RIP his GPA.

I got five boosters this time around. In the past I got a premium collection for mega swampert. That may have been because I for first, either way, if you enter the tourney each month premium membership is awesome

I also got a few of these. iirc it was once a few booster packs, a second time it was the Blastoise Generations collection, and a third (and fourth?) time it was store credit for TCGPlayer since I'm living outside the US. I have since given up the Premium Membership, but I'd say I covered my expense for those six months by placing in the creative-deck picks four times :p And that is not including the double-pack bump should you place on the podium just for standings, which can be even nicer.
 
We send out two promo products (the M Swampert-EX evolution premium collection is an example) and three groups of five booster packs each time. Typically the people who place higher get the promo products.

I agree the premium membership has been worth it with the creative decklist wins. I've got 3 of them in the past, each time getting 5 packs. And also got a 6th place win in July for 8 packs, making 23 packs total, which is more than paying off for the membership. So even if you don't place in the tournament I feel it is well worth it!

Yeah, as others have said, you can get either a promo product or 5 booster packs. I got a Blastoise Generations Box on my highest placement with my old Reshiratina Deck, 5 (terribly unlucky) Steam Siege packs for my last run of that deck in July, and it looks like I'm getting another promo product this time around.

Even though PTCGO's awful "randomization" loves to screw with my decks even though they work great in real-world play (Unown starts almost every game, despite only being a 3/7 chance, or constantly prizing Giratina & Reshiram with my old deck, for instance...), the non-meta deck prizes help to make up for that. They also encourage you to try different decks even if you don't make the top of the standings (which is really hard to do unless you play a meta deck or meta variant), and also makes the premium membership even more worth it than it already is!


Also, I agree with @LightningCloud224 in that I would love to see deck lists on non-meta prize winners - maybe pick one of the bunch to show off each month? Just a thought. :)
 
..although, if the amount of premium members shoots up, the chances drop too :p You gotta be good as well as creative. I think I've been blessed with good fortune more than mad skillz.
