"Women like a guy who likes Pokemon. What does he do?" Thread.

RE: HELLLLP!

Moved to Off-Topic, as even though it is a Pokémon topic, it requires real world advice.

RE: HELLLLP!

Its pretty simple actually. Do not tell them yet. Wait until you know for sure that they like you. People who do not like Pokemon view it as a childish game and will then be less likely to like you. HOWEVER, if you get to know them and vise versa, eventually you can tell them, and it shouldnt change anything.

Its all about timing.

RE: HELLLLP!

Can I help you with your spelling?
"Don't ask don't tell" is the best policy towards this kind of thing.

RE: HELLLLP!

Just to let you know, my brother (who is in high school) told his girlfriend he plays pokemon, and she still likes him (although it may be because her brother, my best friend, plays pokemon too). He basically told everyone in that school he likes pokemon and they accept him for it.

RE: HELLLLP!

Yeah, I gotta agree with Shadow Arceus. I would never tell a girl that I like Pokemon unless I'm 100% confident with it. I am open with it when people discuss it in school, however. Whenever the topic is on Pokemon (and surprisingly, quite a few of the popular people at my school play it), I always chime in.

RE: HELLLLP!

My ex from college kind of fell in love with me because of the fact that I still played Pokemon (you see, she was an anime fanatic, so my Pokemon obsession really didn't faze her too much). In any case, if it bugs you so much, don't mention it. If they find out and make fun of you because of it, don't bother with them. The most important thing is always to be yourself! Don't let what other people think bug you; it's really not worth stressing out over.

RE: HELLLLP!

Ummm... I'd just mention it to them, I tell people I like Pokemon all the time (except I'm not really concerned about what people think of me), if they truly like you I don't think that it would alter their views of you.

RE: HELLLLP!

If you actually like them, like really like one of them don't tell them straight away get to know them better if they don't accept it them just let them go because it's something you like.

RE: HELLLLP!

You say the words "Hey, did I ever tell you I like Pokémon?" to them.
Its pretty easy.

RE: HELLLLP!

Everybody has this problem.

If you want to make friends then DO tell them you like Pokemon. How will you make friends if a) you lie to them about your likes and b) are not being your self. If someone doesn't like you for who you are, are they REALLY friends? Eh...

I'm sure it gets easier along the way, but those middle school and maybe high school years are a pain. Late Elementery can also be a pain lol. SO BASICLY EVERYTHING EXCEPT COLEAGE

RE: HELLLLP!

If she likes you for who you really are, then she would not care and you should have no problem telling her.

RE: HELLLLP!

Shadow Arceus; My spelling was spot on! Im not some people on these forums who cant spell or use proper grammer.

RE: HELLLLP!

Fail XD

Even if you tell them you like Barney, they'll think you're kidding, and thereby being funny, thereby being fun to hang around thereby having friends. It's a giant circle that is hardly flawed :D

RE: HELLLLP!

If someone breaks up with you because you like Pokemon they weren't worth it. My girlfriend is not only a Pokemon fan, but also laughed out loud at my avatar. This is what you should look for in a woman.

RE: HELLLLP!

^Thissssss
I get along so well with people that play Pokemon at my school. We don't really discuss in in public, really, but it feels awesome to really engage in conversation with someone about the subject irl.

RE: HELLLLP!

Zenith said exactly what i said if you really like them and they accept that you like it then they're not worth it.

RE: HELLLLP!

The thing is, it really doesn't change who you are as a person. If you lie to them originally, then you're sorta stuck, but otherwise, just tell someone when you feel like it. After all, it's not really a big deal.

RE: HELLLLP!

shadoworganoid, I was talking to the OP, if I was talking to you I would have had this ^ at the beginning of my post. I have to agree that if she breaks up with you for liking Pokemon then she wasn't worth it in the first place.
