Worlds Question

When they hand out invitations to Worlds, do they pay for you to go? Or do you have pay for your book hotel and airline by yourself?

No you don't get tarvel allowance for worlds with invites , but I think you do if you win nats.

I think only the top X (4 in USA) get paid trips

The following in each age division get paid travel:

• Top 4 from previous year's Worlds
• The winner of the National Championship (in most countries -- a few countries do not give a travel award to the national champion, US gives travel awards to top 4, Canada does top 2)

Everyone else fends for themselves -- which is why a lot of international seats (and even a few American ones) go unclaimed and wind up in the LCQ.
