Hey everyone I have been playing TCG for a few years now and I have this deck idea for Xerneas BREAK and Raichu, I hope you guys like it I am also open to criticism on how to improve. I also would like to have advice on how to edit the deck for the next standard format and what it will be. (I am not that good with deck building so I just edited my Gardevoir EX deck and attempted to make it work.)

Thank you for reading the deck list and giving your comments on to how I can improve the deck to make it more consistent, I hope that the deck will be able to function well and be somewhat viable.

A few thoughts for your consideration:
  • For your deck to be successful, you need to get (and keep) as much energy in play as possible. In most decks I run or play against using Max Elixir, there are typically 10-12 Basic energy in the deck in order to enhance one's chances of hitting the Max Elixir most of the time (i.e., 75%+). With only 4 Y energy, the Max Elixir seem quite under-utilize. Further, the Geomancy Xerneas will provide the necessary energy-attachment you'll need.
  • Since your main attacker's damage output is based upon the quantity of energy you have in play, Sky Field Stadium does not really provide any advantage vs. Fairy Garden which would give your Pokémon free retreat with an attached Y energy.
Suggested deck changes:

-4 Max Elixir
-3 Sky Field
-2 Switch - not really needed if Fairy Garden is used
-1 Trainer's Mail - 3 should be sufficient

+3 Fairy Garden
+1 Parallel City - to help get unwanted benched Pokémon (e.g., Shaymin EX) out of play
+1 Professor's Letter - to search and get Y energy
+1 Judge / Professor Oak's Hint / Shauna - more, diversified card-draw support
+1 Special Charge - to recover and recycle DCE
+3 Y energy - increase your chances of getting more energy in play faster

Another Supporter sometimes used in decks where your starting Pokémon is expected to be KOd (like Xerneas that is getting energy into play) is Teammates. Instead of another card-draw Supporter suggested above, Teammates can be used instead.

I hope you find these comments helpful.

I see what you mean but the main focus of Raichu is to have a counter to M Ray as with skyfield it allows me to 1-shot with 6 on the bench. As to the Fairy Garden I think upon reviewing this a 2-2 o even a 2-1 is a good line to play. The special charge is a good idea and so is the special energy. I thank you for the information on how to improve and I will test this for the league challenge I will be attending next week. I will post my results with thoughts on how to improve.
