Strategy
The main goal of this deck is to get and keep energy on the field as well as having a strong yet consistent deck. That is why I play I very heavy Huntail line and pretty heavy Ultra Balls. But here is how I intended to play this list but I am also open to any ideas for this list.

First what you are going to want to do is attempt or set up and Archie's Ace in the Hole with Swampert turn one. I like to do this using several ways: Battle Compressor, Ultra Ball, and Professor Sycamore(If you have both in your hand). If you are using the Battle Compressor another card you could discard along with the Archie's Ace in the Hole and the Swampert is a Lysandre so you have one in the deck and discard. Archie's could also be used later in the game for a Huntail if need be.

The Lugia EXs in the deck can be used to tank and store energy. You can put an Exp. Share on them and Energy Switch off of Swampert to hit for big attacks. Also it combined with Color-Drained City can take out Megas pretty quick with its deep hurricane attack.

The reason I made this deck is because I love to pull off attacks and plays out of nowhere but also having a consistent deck. Please leave any advice, suggestions, comments, etc. Thanks!

Lugia-EX – Colorless – HP170
Basic Pokemon

[C][C] Aero Ball: 20x damage. Does 20 damage times the number of Energy attached to this Pokemon and the Defending Pokemon.

[C][C][C][C] Deep Hurricane: 80+ damage. If there is any Stadium card in play, this attack does 70 more damage. Discard that Stadium card.

When a Pokemon-EX has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Weakness: Lightning (x2)
Resistance: Fighting (-20)
Retreat: 1

Hex Maniac – Trainer
Supporter

Until the end of your opponent’s next turn, each Pokemon in play, in each player’s hand, and in each player’s discard pile has no Abilities.

You may play only 1 Supporter card during your turn (before your attack).

Color-Drained City – Trainer
Stadium

Between turns, place 2 damage counters on each Mega Evolved Pokemon in play.

This card stays in play when you play it. Discard this card if another Stadium card comes into play. If another card with the same name is in play, you can’t play this card.

Huntail and Lugia-EX are certainly strong, but you're going to need some heavy Energy Acceleration in here to make them work. Since you need Water Energy, I'm thinking that 2 options you could try are Ancient Togekiss or the new Volcarona from Ancient Origins because they both provide any Type.

Thank you for the advise but in my eyes I believe it takes a bit away for the consistency of the deck. Do any of you think maybe including a second Swampert and Archie's?

Could you please include scans / text for cards that have yet to be released from the next set? Thanks!
