I must say this: It's a sleeper deck right now, and it doesn't lose many cards at all after the rotation. Heres an XY-On version of the deck I made up:

Pokemon: 14
  • 4 Reshiram
  • 3 Rayquaza EX (Dragon)
  • 3 M Rayquaza EX (Dragon)
  • 2 Hydreigon EX
  • 1 Druddigon (Flashfire)
  • 1 Shaymin EX
Trainers/Supporters/Stadiums: 32
  • 4 Professor Sycamore
  • 3 Professor Birch's Observations
  • 1 Ace Trainer
  • 2 Lysandre
  • 1 Teammates
  • 1 Hex Maniac
  • 3 Ultra Ball
  • 3 Rayquaza Spirit Link
  • 3 Switch
  • 3 VS Seeker
  • 1 Professor's Letter
  • 4 Mega Turbo
  • 3 Shrine of Memories
Energy: 14
  • 4 Double Dragon Energy
  • 8 Fire Energy
  • 2 Lightning Energy
Strategy:

Pretty much your basic Dragon Mega Rayquaza build, with some Ancient Origins cards to help with stopping your opponent's abilities (Hex Maniac) and bringing energy back into your deck (Energy Recycle)

Some techs: Druddigon can do 90 damage after a knockout with 2 energy, so it works well to deal with Vespiquen and Raichu, and it only gives one prize. Only one Shaymin - I need all the bench space I can get, and it's useful enough to get out of a jam.

Why I think it will be a powerful one to watch: M Rayquaza's Delta Wild ability can easily ruin Eeveelution decks by giving it resistance instead of weakness. Fairy Weakness may be an issue with the deck, but not very severe.

I might cut the energy by one or two... but I'm finding it's quite good for this deck to have a good energy stream to power up. Any ideas are welcome!

So he can use the Reshiram's ability twice and attack in the same turn.

(Also, it helps with Shaymin or Silent Lab.)

You're running quite a bit of energy, I would drop 1 or 2 Lightning Energy because it can't be charged by Reshiram. 2 Professor's Letter is not needed, one tops because getting energy in your hand is easier than you think. Energy Retrieval isn't necessary because of Mega Turbo, which is much faster and more reliable (not needing a switch card). Energy Recycle is in the same suit, as you'll find that after you get the energy in your deck you have to get it back in your hand, delaying your next attack. 4 Ultra Ball 4 VS Seeker is what I find is a good lineup for this particular deck, but if you can live with it it's not terribly serious. The last thing you may want to consider is dropping a Shrine, because it's not completely needed for this deck to work. In fact, you may consider using Scorched Earth instead, as it can drop some energy for Mega Turbo while providing draw.
so TLDR
-1 Energy Retrieval
-1 Energy Recycler
-1 Professor's Letter
-1 Lightning Energy
-1 Shrine of Memories
+4 Mega Turbo
+1 Ultra Ball/VS Seeker

or you could drop another Lightning Energy (it's pretty much only for Aegislash-EX and Enhanced Hammers) and add another Ultra Ball/VS Seeker

I run a very similar deck and as has been mentioned, Mega Turbo will help massively to keep the 300s coming turn after turn, if you need them. Given how EX-heavy the deck is, I also run one Hoopa EX - the Ultra Ball I would have used for Shaymin before now gets me Shay PLUS whatever else I need, be it the Mega, Hydreigon or, in a pinch, even Ray itself. I like Teammates as a one-of too, plus it has great synergy with your Druddigon tech. Ideally you can use it as Ultra Ball fodder then Seeker for it if and when needed, as Resh is a fair sacrifice once you're either out of energy to Turboblaze or ready to start attacking. Another Lysandre will help, too - you need to be making sure your Ascents are worthwhile where possible. Also, in my experience, running 3/4 Switch STILL doesn't give you that dream multi-Turboblaze start often enough to justify the card space - two has given best results for me, maybe with an Escape Rope as well if you can find room, just to mess with powered up actives. That's purely preference, I guess.

Thunder Crown's suggestions seem pretty much on point, and more or less in line with what I run - here's my ever-so-slightly different version, though.

-1 Energy Retrieval
-1 Energy Recycler
-2 Professor's Letter
-2 Lightning Energy
-1 Shrine of Memories
-1 Birch/Sycamore
-1 Switch

+4 Mega Turbo
+1 Ultra Ball
+1 Teammates
+1 Shaymin EX
+1 Lysandre
+1 Hoopa EX

I can't believe I completely forgot all about the Mega Turbo. xD

Thank you for all the replies! I'm going to update the deck list according to some of the posts here.

I do hope it will really surprise the new format
