RE: Yan-Prime

Your deck isn't consistent.
Take out all Shaymin, Noctowl, Banette and Ambipom line. Put, instead of Noctowl, Dodrio from Supreme Victors (retreat cost 0), and add a Blaziken FB LvX line to counter Dialga (your biggest problem).

The goal with Yanmega decks is to be faster than other decks. So, you mustn't have bad starts.
Recapping:
- 2 Shaymin
- 2-2 Noctowl
- 4-3 Banette
- 2-2 Ambipom
+ 2-2 Dodrio SV
+ 3-1 Uxie LvX (drawpower and speed)
+ 2 PONT
+ 2 Bebe
+ 2 Judge
+ 1 Copycat
+ 2 Seeker

And the energy... you don't need energies! Play just 5 for retreat your pokemon.

- 10 Psychic
- 5 Grass
- 2 Black Belt
+ 2 Fire
+ 1-1 Blaziken FB LvX
+ 1 Unown Q (or two, your choice)
+ 3 Pokemon Collector
+ 3 Pokemon Communication
+ 1 Palmer's Contribution
+ 2 Expert Belt
+ 3 Cyrus's Conspiracy (for have mroe cards in hand if needed)

I spent a lot of time for you so.. consider my advice! And good luck for this awesome deck!

RE: Yan-Prime

well a 1-1 shaymin lv x wouldnt hurt at all and you could drop like uxie x and 1 uxie... since dodrio already gives you draw. But what you could also do is drop the whole dodrio line for a 1-1 shaymin x, an azelf and a second unown q or a third vs seeker.

RE: Yan-Prime

@BubbleTea -> he has a lot of pokemon lines, how can this deck work with also Shaymin? And it isn't needed imho.. Yanmega has already a lot of HPs.

RE: Yan-Prime

This is just a bad start waiting to happen. you have far too many pokemon, more than you ever need. plus what's up with the high amount of energy. The point is to attack for 0 energy ASAP. Now bare in mind, you'll rarely be able to set up a perfect T1 Yanmega, it's more of a set-up deck if you rush into getting your hand the same size of your opponent you'll find it very hard to set up another yanmega. I find that Sableye SF is a great starter for the deck and Sunflora really helps with searching out Yanma/Yanmega once you begin with the hand-size changing. I use this pokemon line

4-4 Yanmega Prime
2-2 Sunflora HGSS
1-1 Dodrio SV
4 Sableye SF
1 Uxie LA (just incase...)
1 Unown Q

The Energy line
3 Rescue Energy
4 {G} (if i'm finding it hard to keep the same hand-size, i load up a benched Yanmega prime)

I've been trying out Staraptor FB lvX, and it's an ok tech for getting out Judges and Copycats but i didn't list it in the pokemon line-up as i'm still testing it out. The T/S/S should be fairly straightforward.

To be honest, Yanmega Prime is just a mediorce version Gyarados. It won't make it far in the competitive scene as it requires alot of work to try and keep yours and your opponents hand the same which requires using Judge and Copycat alot and constantly reshuffling your hand could give you anything, meaning your mid/late game varies on the hand you get.

RE: Yan-Prime

You're going to need the Division and the Event you plan on playing this for in the Title. Thanks.

dmaster out.

RE: Yan-Prime

Ok i see what you guys are saying...
@Balboa
you are the person that i sadly do disagree with the most.
If you know me as a person, then you know that i hate Uxie LA because EVERY deck has it. I don't need it. Blaziken FB... where did you get that idea? That has nothing to do with this strategy. Though i do agree with some things. I will drop the bennete and psychic energy lines. The shaymin i am keeping for a good reason. You'll see why soon. The noctowl i will reduce to 1-1 because i can't only rely on yanmega for the same hand strategy. I will need someone else if Yanmega is not ready yet. I will drop the aipom lines. I think i will add a 1-1 doduo SV so that i don't need to rely on it. I will add the 2 bebe's search. I will add the judge. I will add the copycat's and i will not add but drop 1 seeker. I'm adding the Pokemon Collector only twice, Pokemon Communication, 1 Palmers Contribution and i'll add the 2 Expert Belts.

@Bubbletea
I was thinking this too. I think i will add the shaymin (land) lv. X because i have the card. If i need to then i will add skymin lv. x but it is a option at the moment.

@empoleon
I think i will add the 2-2 sunflora line :) and 4 Sabeleye SF
yeah i rank Yanmega prime higher than gyarados because IMO it is faster and with Shaymin, expert belt, and maybe even black belt This thing can tank, tank, tank.

(Final Adds and subs)
- 4-3 Bannete Pl
-10 {P} energy's
- 1-1 Noctowl HGSS
- 2-2 Aipom lines
-1 seeker

+ 1-1 Dodrio SV
+2 Bebe's Search
+2 Judge
+2 Copycat
+2 Pokemon Collector
+3 Pokemon Communication
+1 Palmers Contribution
+2 Expert belt
+1 Landmin X (maybe 1 skymin X too)
+ 2-2 Sunflora
+3 {G} Energy

(pending needs to see how many cards i have in the deck)

there's nothing wrong with having a different deck to everyone else but not using the same techs because thy're over used isn't a reason to not to use the tech. Uxie LA is used in pretty much every deck because the ability to draw 4+ on average usinit is pretty good. It'd be like saying "i don't want to use Pokemon Collector because every deck uses it".

But onto the deck. you need to remember that if you were to face a Dialgachomp (or Luxchomp w/DGX tecg) about half your deck would shut down leaving you to manually charge Yanmega (takes 3 turns) and Dialga G can easily tank and heal repeatly with Healing Breath (The max you could hit for consistently is 90) while they just Remove lost your energy. Though you can keep the deck at bay with Judge but that only lasts so long. You should at least consider some sort of tech to help in the match-up. Blaziken FB lvX is the obvious choice but it's your call.

It may not by part of the main deck strategy, but that's why its called a tech, it's just something to help swing a certain match-up in your favour

thank you empoleon. I will add 1 uxie LA because you asked so nicely. I have played and i can play perfectly well with dialgachomp if i make the right moves/ keeping them guessing.
