Ok so everybody is talking about ways to counter Seismitoad EX effectively. I see a semi-obvious solution that no-one else seems to pick up on ... Yanmega PHF
Yanmega HP 110
Stage 1; Evolves from Yanma

[G] Windfall - Shuffle your hand into your deck. Then, draw 6 cards.

[C][C][C] Surprise Strike 50+ damage - If this Pokemon was on the Bench and became your Active Pokemon this turn, this attack does 50 more damage.

Weakness: [L] X2
Resistance: [F] -20
Retreat: 0

This card's Surprise Strike attack, coupled with its free retreat and colorless energy cost can OHKO a Seismitoad EX if it was switched into on your current turn. I feel like this card is splashable since it runs on colorless energy. Any thoughts?

Thanks for the Input,

RE: Yanmega PHF's Usefulness!

Three energy is a hefty cost for a Stage 1 with a meager 110 HP. Its attack isn't horrible, but pulling it off under Quaking Punch's lock will prove difficult. Since you won't be able to play Switch / Escape Rope in this situation, the only way of returning Yanmega to the bench and getting it active again would be via a Rush In / Retreat with a Keldeo that already has a Float Stone attached. And since many Toad decks run Garbodor, you probably won't even be able to do that.

Leafeon PLF is a far better Toad counter, as Energy Crush costs only a sincle [C] energy, doesn't need to be switched in that turn to do massive amounts od damage to a Toad, and its Water resistance is sure to screw up some math. Quaking Punch with Muscle Band and Laserbank only gets it for 60 damage including the poison between turns, going up 90 at the end of your turn, meaning it will take two Quaking Punches to KO every time. Yanmega on the other hand will KO from poiison going into your opponent's turn.
