Ruling Yet another Unown G question

Unown G states that all effects done to the pokemon it is attached to shall be prevented. That includes effects part of the pokemon it's attached to (Ie, Kingdra EX has an Unown G on it, and uses Protective Swirl, normally getting rid of weakness, but since it is an effect of an attack, it is prevented, as Unown G states that any effects done to the pokemon it's on).
My question is, if Banette uses Ghost Head for 70 Damage, wouldn't Unown G prevent the damage done to Banette, but not to the defending pokemon? If so, Banette is now broken untill the Errata.

But it is an effect done to both Banette and the defending pokemon, and Unown G prevents effects on Banette.

That is how it reads as printed, but it's supposed to say "prevent all effects of attacks, excluding damage, done to that Pokemon by your opponent's Pokemon". It should not protect you from your own effects -- it should work the same as Holon Energy WP.

An errata is highly likely before States.

Not to come accross as fustrated but, I Know that it will probably be errated. I'm asking about it's context right now.
And please explain why you think that.

Why can't you access Compendium Updates? Weird.

Anyways, here it is:

== GUARD (Unown-G - DP:Great Encounters)

Q. Does Unown-G's "GUARD" Poke-POWER prevent effects from attacks that the
Unown-G is attached to?
A. No, the Poke-POWER only prevent effects from an opponent's attacks, not your
own (this will be addressed in future errata). (Feb 21, 2008 PUI Rules Team)

Q. If I use Unown-G's "GUARD" Poke-POWER to attach it as a Tool to one of my
Pokemon, does it get discarded at the end of the turn?
A. When attached at a Tool, Unown-G stays attached until that Pokemon is Knocked
Out or leaves play. (Feb 21, 2008 PUI Rules Team)

It's not an errata, but it is a TCG Ruling. It will soon be an errata.
