What is it that you want for the internet? What is your dream for what the internet should be? Post it.

My dream for the internet is one of freedom. Freedom to espouse your opinions and ideas without being censored. Freedom to debate with people without it being mislabeled hate-speech. Freedom for everyone, that is what I think the internet should be.
 
IMO, what you said is already true. Granted, things can still happen to you if you're on the internet (typing, say, a terrorist plot would get you arrested), but overall, I think you can say what you want. Mine? IDK. That there weren't so many trolly obnoxious n00bs on it.
 
Virtual reality and the ability to send objects through the series of tubes.

Make it happen, people.
 
My dream is that everyone in the world will have access to a computer, regardless of their income or where in the world they are.

Wouldnt you rather we solve poverty first before we give everyone a computer which they cant eat.
 
I want the internet to work like that tv from Willy Wonka. Then I can just look up a picture of some food when I'm hungry. 8D

I'm content with the Internet's level of content. I'd love to have an Internet free of viruses and other malware. I'd also love one with absolutely no loading time, but that probably has more to do with the computers' power than the net itself. xP
 
My dream is that all internet speedz was faster then "POW".
And being able to jump into the Internet and live there!

Businesses like YouTube and Google wouldn't be able to thrive anymore without the net. There's even businesses that rely on the internet, what about the luxury of working for your job on your own PC without ever getting out of your house? What's wrong with that? Especially in these hard economic times?

What about Online College Courses? It saves the trouble of not having to leave your friends behind to go to an actual college. Does it? Sure Twitter and Facebook doesn't make any money, but I stand by my point. What you don't like free speech online? I take it you're against net neutrality...
