Long time lurker and first time poster. I was wondering what people's top chase card is for this set and why, just to see what people feel/think looking at these dope arts.
Mine is the Leafeon VStar Alt by Jiro Sasumo.
Leafeon is my fifth ranked eeveeloution out of the 8. But the way this card is drawn is just amazing.
Love the 10 different types of plants and how they all either "point to" or "bend around" Leafeon in terms of composition.
The color shift on the ears and tail creates a nice contrast along with the brown inner ears and paws of the Leafeon really make it stand out as well.
The jars and bottles give you the feel of being in an herbalist's work area, with the soft sparkle of the water from the tail going in the jar creating a gentle sense of motion that brings in energy to the piece without disrupting its calm feel.
There are only a few cards I feel that have captured Leafeon well, and this card has taken the top spot imo
This has easily become one of my favorite illustrations in the entirety of the tcg.
