Yveltal Beatdown (Yveltal EX / Darkrai EX)

This is my take on the Yveltal beat-down deck. This is what I'm going to be taking to states, and I've only played this against TDK, Blastoise and Rayboar, and some other rogues, and does very well. States is going to be my first big tournament. I just want to be prepared for the variety that I'll encounter - any advice will be awesome!

Strategy
Quite simple: power up Yveltal EX as fast as possible and take prizes.

Pokémon: Yveltal EX is easily MVP of XY. Lots of damage fast. Mini-Yveltal is a decent starting pokémon that can build up damage and keep energy flowing: Oblivion Wing w/ Muscle Band is doing 50 for one energy, while helping to power up a benched Yveltal EX. Also, Darkness Blade goes through Safeguard. Darkrai is there more for Dark Cloak, although Night Spear is always an option, too. No Sableye. This deck is not about Junk Hunting, not even for a turn a two. This deck must set up faster than the competition. No time to spare.

Pokémon techs: Absol is just too good: a possible 140 for two energies w/ Muscle Band can't be passed up in those dire situations, imo, and only gives up one prize. Mr. Mime to protect Yveltal EX; if I Y Cyclone a DCE to a benched Yveltal EX in preparation for a retaliatory strike, I don't want it to have any damage on it. Keldeo EX to break paralysis, cure poison, wake up, etc.

Trainers: It's all pretty standard: lots of draw power and energy acceleration to keep the deck speedy and flowing. Ultra Ball w/ Professor's Letter helps get those Darkness in the discard. Dark Patch to get them out and Energy Switch to put Darkness wherever I need them most. 1 Enhanced Hammer simply because I had an extra slot open - EH is always a good space filler (might consider a fourth Energy Switch instead). 3 Shadow Circle just to ensure that I win the stadium war.

Energy: 4 DCEs to make Yveltal EX extra beefy. rawr.

Very nice list.

I definitely concur that Absol is a BEAST and it seems you too also like Shadow Circle which I'm finding is also amazing, IMHO.

Not sure how only 1 Enhanced Hammer will be that useful over a big tournament; so, I'd suggest replacing it with another Tool Scrapper.

Would you mind expounding upon your playtest matchups? Thanks.

Lastly, any particular reason(s) why you excluded Skyla(s)?
