Here is an interesting idea I came up with using cards from the new set. Feel free to share your thoughts on this list!
Decklist
Pokemon: 14
T/S/S: 34
Energy: 12
Card Choices
Pokemon
3 Yveltal
Most players play 2 copies of this, however without Dark Patch from expanded this deck needs more energy acceleration. Usually start with this Pokemon, as it does great chip damage to high HP Pokemon, while accelerating energy to your Yveltal EX.
2 Gallade
The star of this deck, Gallade compliments Yveltal very well becuase it can OHKO Mega-Manectric for just a DCE, as well as take out those pesky Magnezones coming out in the new set. Gallade's ability works well with lots of item draw cards, which are included in the deck. Gallade also OHKO's Shaymin EX even after applying resistance. When using Battle Compressor, discard Gallade first, so that you do not have to draw into it. The fact that a supporter has to be played to increase damage is not so bad, considering this deck plays plenty of outs to supporters.
3 Unown
Has great synergy with Gallade by being able to stack the top five cards and draw the one you want by using Unown's ability. Only playing 3 in this deck, becuase I seem to start with it a lot, which forces me to burn a Float Stone or energy attachment to bring it back to the bench.
T/S/S
2 Maxie's Hidden Ball Trick
Used to get out Gallade as fast as possible. This deck is fine without hitting the T1 Maxie, and you only need one Gallade on the field, unless you are against Magnezone/Raikou or Mega-Manectric variants.
1 Tierno
Awesome 1-of in this deck due to Gallade's ability. Also good to increase hand size, if you do not want to Syacmore valuable resources into the discard.
4 Trainer's Mail, 4 Battle Compressor, 4 VS Seeker, 3 Acro Bike
Many speed draw items are necessary in order to get Gallade out. Speed draw items help out a lot early game, especially when you are attempting to setup.
2 Float Stone v.s. 2 Switch
I was on the fence about this decision, however Float Stone IMO is the better choice in this deck, due to its ability to be instantly played and provide a free retreater compared to Switch, which is more situational. In the end, Float Stone will not clog up your hand, giving you a better chance of getting Gallade out.
2 Parallel City
I chose Parallel City, because it helps a ton against Raichu variants and Mega-Ray variants limiting their bench to 3, and crippling their setup. As a side note, the water resistance that Parallel City provides also helps against Seismitoad EX variants, limiting Toad's damage output to a max of 30.
Energy
8 Darkness Energy
Seems a bit high for this deck, but after a KO from your opponent, energy runs a bit low. Also hitting the manual DCE and dark energy is crucial, so you need to be able to draw into enough of them throughout the game.
Feel free to provide changes that you think will benefit this deck. Thanks!
