How Fury Cutter works is that it's original damage is 10. You have to flip three coins to add more damage, unlike LM's Boxtopper Pikachu's Iron Tail, where you must flip coins to determine the damage.

If you flip 1 head and 2 tails, the damage is the original 10 plus another 10, making it 20.

Flip 2 heads and 1 tail will give the original 10 plus 20, making it 30.

Flipping 3 heads will give Fury cutter the damage of its original 10 plus 40, making it total damage of 50. Flip all tails will just make the damage 10.

Fury cutter does not stack to make a total damage of 80, ok? It's maximum damage is 50 before applying weakness and resistance and other effects.

It's as simple as it goes.

As for the Deoxys (Defence), I watched LV's match at the HP prerelease (cos I was on a bye) and it was LV's Deoxys (Defence) vs. Aerodactyl delta.

LV's opponent used Granite Head with the effect that reduces damage 'by' 10.

LV used Deoxys (Defence)'s Delta Reduction (which turns the match into a deadlock), which does 30 damage while reducing damage to Deoxys (Defence) by 30 (before applying weakness and resistance).

What annoyed me greatly is that the kid says that Granite Head reduces the damage to 10!

I tried to protest because since when does 30 minus 10 become 10?

What is your opinion on this case?

RE: Zangoose & Deoxys (delta...defence)...from Holon Phantoms

I can understand Zangoose being misunderstood but Deoxys-d (defence) is almost a give away in terms of understanding... there's no easier way to put it.

Ok... think of it like Resistance.

If you use Delta Reduction it does 30 damage to your opponent's pokemon. During your opponent's next turn if he/she attacks Deoxys-d (defence) all damage is reduced by 30. So if that attack happened to do 50 damage, it would end up doing 20. If that attack happened to do 20 damage, Deoxys-d would take nothing. After you use Delta Reduction just -30 damage from the damage to which Deoxys-d would take.

You cant give Trade reps to people for answering a question. Trade reps are ONLY given for successful trades, you should know this. Also, dont PM me, save your time.

Hmm, this is the same as Raticate from SKYRIDGE set, umm, it has the same concept.

0 h - 10 damage
1 h - 10+10 damage
2 h - 10+20 damage
3 h - 10+40 damage

EXAMPLE FOR DELTA REDUCTION

Put simply to say, after the base damage is calculated, just -30 away from it. Its too easy to misunderstand.

I believe some of you may have skipped over my post, but the 'misunderstanding' was not in Deoxys (Defence) delta but with Aerodactyl delta.

Of course, you're right. Reducing by 10 means that x -> x - 10. Redcing TO 10 means that x -> 10. Just tell the kid to read his own cards.

RE: Zangoose & Deoxys (delta...defence)...from Holon Phantoms

Alright Aerodactyl is pretty straight forward. Its -10 from thier attack dmg NEXT Turn. So 30 becomes 20, 20 becomes 10, 10 is 0 etc.

Also I should note, this is after applying weakness and resistance (Unlike Deoxys) so if they have an electric pokemon, then an attack from them would always do dmg. Example, 20 becomes 40 -10 thus dealing 30. 10 becomes 20 -10 so does the original 10. Hope this helps ^^
