[explode electrode!]

i thought zapdos could capitalize from the down side of its attack. i first thought of this

4 zapdos
4-4 gyarados
4 stantler

what happens is you start with stantler getting roseannes research for energy and basics. then you attack with zapdos, putting damage on gyarados.

What do you mean? Attack weakness? If it is weakness Zapdos is super effective because Gyarados is a water/Flying type.

Ash, if you don't know what the HECK you're talking about...then why bother?

Anyway, the point is obv. to put 40 damage on Gyarados, so that Gyarados can flail for 70. Yeah, thought about that too, but there is a downside, that being that Zapdos is a horrendous start, as is Magikarp, and you can get either of these two. Now I'm not certain if Zapdos needs 3 [L] Energy or 2 [L] and 1 [C], if the latter is the case, you can use Call Energy to make your starts a bit less rough.

Either way, it is a pretty obvious combo.
