Hi everyone,

This will be my first post on pokebeach, so bear with me.

My Deck:

Pokemon [20]:

4 Blitzle [NV 35]
4 Zebstrika [ND 48]
3 Tynamo [NV 38]
1 Tynamo [NV 39]
3 Eelektrik [NV 40]
2 Foongus [ND 8]
2 Amoonguss [ND 9]
1 Zekrom [ND 50]

Trainers/Supporters [29]:

4 Pokemon Collector [HGSS 97]
4 Professor Juniper [BW 101]
3 Professor Oak's New Theory [HGSS 101]
2 Seeker [TR 88]

4 Junk Arm [TR 87]
4 Level Ball [ND 89]
3 Pokemon Catcher [EP 95]
2 Switch [HGSS 102]
2 Dual Ball [CoL 78]
1 Super Rod [NV 95]

Energy [11]:

3 Rescue Energy [TR 90]

8 Electric Energy

The basic strategy of the deck is to get a T2 Zebstrika and Eelektrik and use "Disconnect" to disrupt the opponent. Amongus is in the deck to disrupt further and eventually you can start sniping them with Zebstrika's second attack, "Lightning Crash", every turn late game to clean up and take the last few prizes.

Some problems i have noticed with the deck are:
1. Only getting one basic and having nothing to get any more out T1, opening you to a first turn donk.
Possible Solution: Run More Basics (Not sure what though), Run Pokegear 3.0 or run Dual Ball.

2. Zebstrika is a great attacker, but doesn't really have the health to take hits.
Possible Solution: Defender??

3. As with any Eelektrik deck, the deck is really weak against catcher and can struggle to recover if an Eelektrik gets dragged up before Zebstrika is trainer-locking.
Possible Solution: Double Colourless Energy or more Switch (Even though i think 2 is already high).

Any help will be hightly appreciated and thanks for reading.

Zebstrika/Eel/Amoongus is an insanely fun deck <3

You have a very solid list, but is four Rescue Energy and a Super Rod really necessary? I'd drop a Rescue Energy for a regular Zekrom as a clutch attacker.

Ok thanks and I definatly will try that. I'm hoping it can bring me some cities luck for my last tournament!

Oh and btw i just wanted to check i have done everything right, with this being my first post and all!

I have just added some Possible things that i could add into the deck and also some problems I have found and thier possible solutions.

Thanks again.

Try cutting some cards for some sage's and maybe a zekrom EX for finishers? Maybe mew two EX would be good as a tech. In all of my decks I run about 1 shaymin EX too. Trust me, it can be a huuuge help and can win games. Sage's is needed.

What would you cut for Sage?

^ Maybe some PONT and a couple of electrics. Maybe cut 2 electrics or so. I think super scoop up would be good because junk arm can be used with it.

drop the collectors and play dual balls. its alot faster, not consistnet as collector but it allows you to use a supporter for a turn.

Some collectors should definitely stay. Collectors are really well. Maybe drop 1 for a dual ball and something else for another one, but I think 4 collector is just fine.

Just updates my list. Unfortunalty, I couldn't find room for the Sage's Training, but I did add 2 Dual Ball and a Zekrom.

Thanks for the help and please keep it coming.

Super scoop up would definitely be helpful since junk arm can be used with it

-1 tynamo
-2 PONT
-1 super rod
-1-1 zebstrika (you already have rescue energy)

+4 Sage's
+2 Super scoop up

Hmm, while I agree with the thing about rescue energy, I personally think 4-4 Zebra is just the best way to get a T2 Disconnect. And Super Rod is more for Eelektrik than Zebstrika.

The whole Seeker/Super Scoop Up is something I need to test, however I think 2 Seeker and 2 Super Scoop Up would be a little bit of an overkill.

On a final note, I was thinking of replacing the Juniper with Sage. I think it might lower consistance a little, but will be a sure-fire way of getting what you need early game.

I'd take out 2 Rescue energies for 2 DCE, because 4-4 Zebstrika should be fine. Also, Zapdos might work well.

I'd run about 3 super scoop up and maybe 1 seeker. You need them for amoongus. If you can you should also add a mew two EX. I wouldn't drop all the juniper for sage's. Juniper is also pretty good with discarding energy. I think a 3-3 eelektrik should be enough since most decks seem to not had any problems with that. I personally am a huge fan of shaymin EX because it has won me games in my testing so I'd suggest you add one if you can, or a zekrom EX.

No. Keep the Rescue, since they're valuable for recovery. You have no need to run DCE as well, aside from Zekrom's Outrage.

Still keep 1, but they're not too useful. If he adds Zapdos, DCE would be useful. I guess a 2/1 split of Rescue/DCE would work as well.

You might want to consider a Regigigas EX or Mewtwo ex as a back up.
Fighting decks will walk all over you, you need a counter for that!
I'm going to advise against replacing your PONT with Sage's, only because Durant decks are going to benefit big time from that.
Otherwise this looks like a nice solid deck to me!
:)

Regigigas EX wouldn't make a great tech because its weak to fighting. Tornadus would be good against fighting and zapdos would too.

Jirachi is right, I'd go with a Tornadus, or maybe a Terrakion and 2 prism energy.
Terrakion is great for the RKO and will help a ton against other lightning decks...
