4 Double Colorless
14 Energy

4 Pokemon Collector
1 Professor Oak's New Theory
2 N

2 Pokemon Catcher
2 PlusPower
4 Junk Arm

2 Pokegear 3.0
1 Max Potion
1 Revive
2 Eviolite

The goal of this deck is to have a Zekrom/Tornadus attacking every turn from T2-T3 until the end of the game every game. Eelektrik is used to make sure you have numerous backup attackers set up on the bench, and Lanturn is used to counter Reshiram and Donphan, as well as effectively being able to one shot anything under trainer lock.

RE: Zekrom/Eelektrik/Tornadus

Many people seem to be under the impression that this deck is TyRam 2.0, this isn't close. No draw engine like Ninetales so discarded energy is put the by ko's and Supporters. Also, when playing TyRam, it is hard to Catcher up and ohko TyRam due to his hefty 140 HP, Eelectrick is only 90, and is ohko easily by most metagame attackers without even needing a Pluspower. The other issue is Zekrom's Bolt Strike has a major difference than Reshiram's Blue Flare. With Reshiram, the energy cards are discarded fueling him up for next turn, but while Zekrom does not need to discard energy, the 40hp damage to self makes him much easier to revenge ko. It is my belief that while this deck is a fun idea, it is merely a weaker sibling to TyRam. The deck, however, will be very, very powerful when Zekrom EX is released, but for now, with the current cards we have to play, Tier 1 this is not.

RE: Zekrom/Eelektrik/Tornadus

Thank you for that, but that wasn't really the advice I was looking for. Do you have any advice for the deck itself?

RE: Zekrom/Eelektrik/Tornadus

I like the Bellsprout as a Lock tech, I am currently running Kingccino and have 1 in there as a tech and it is effective and does not kill consistency. One change I would consider is cutting the N for Engineers Adjustments. That way you have draw and you are simultaneously drawing into what you need. May also consider cutting a Zekrom for a Cleffa.

RE: Zekrom/Eelektrik/Tornadus

Okay thank you for the constructive criticism. I think I am going to cut 1 N for 1 Engineer's as I really like N and I feel it will help me but Engineer's is extremely strong in this deck as well

RE: Zekrom/Eelektrik/Tornadus

I would take out bellsprout for carnivine because it has more hp. It has one more retreat, but you run 4 DCE.

RE: Zekrom/Eelektrik/Tornadus

I would agree, however I don't own a Carnivine so for now I have to play Bellsprout.

Smeargle is god in this deck, you can start with smeargle retreat dynamotar an energy back onto it have it ready for when something gets KOed its just really really good. I made your list faster with the dual balls and able to get the donk sometimes although I am thinking of taking pachi out of my version of this deck but I have gotten the donk twice in my play testing with it. I also added in some other cards testing has proved very useful such as revive and max potion ( revive can be switched with Good Rod or cut out all together depends on your play style)

I would add more than just one cleffa because after your attacker dies you send up cleffa and charge up another one.

RE: Zekrom/Eelektrik/Tornadus

Okay some of the changes I do like, however I'm fine with not having a turn 1 in exchange for getting Eelektriks out consistently and being able to get through my deck fast. I would love to put Smeargle in here, unfortunately CCs start tomorrow and I own none as of now. Max Potion sounds like a great addition though, I think I will definitely try to find some room for that since it synergizes so well with the deck

Odds are someone will let you borrow a smeargle

RE: Zekrom/Eelektrik/Tornadus

Back from tourney number 1, this deck had a top 8 performance. :)

Anyways the problems I have diagnosed are that I still have a very bad trainer lock matchup, and that I sometimes have trouble drawing into draw supporters despite the fact that I run 10 as well as 2 Pokegears. Any suggestions to help remedy these issues?

RE: Zekrom/Eelektrik/Tornadus

I'm wondering, guys: would a 2-1-2 Magnezone line help or hurt this deck? it'd basically be a clone of Reshiphlosion but the draw engine is Stage 2 and the discard engine is Stage 1

RE: Zekrom/Eelektrik/Tornadus

Magnezone would probably work, I'd love to test it but unfortunately it's something I can't really afford at the moment. Perhaps I will test it on PlayTCG to see how it works out.

What I have realized, is that Lanturn Prime should fit extremely well into this deck. I am putting in a 2-2 line to help one shot nearly anything which should be an extreme help against trainerlock, the biggest problem I have with this deck is that I can't one shot Donphan or other dragons under trainerlock. Lanturn takes down these threats with relative ease, if I can take out one Donphan earlygame with Tornadus, it should be smooth sailing the rest of the way.
