Zekrom ex

I have been playing around with zekrom ex a lot lately so heres my idea

Pokemon
2 Zekrom EX
1 Mewtwo EX
3 Thunderus
1 Tornadus
2 Zekrom
4-3 Eelektrik
1-1-1 Vanillux ND

T/S/S
3 Level Ball
3 Catcher
3 Eviolite
3 Switch
4 Junkarm
2 Juniper
3 Oaks
2 Collecter
3 Sages
2 Skyarrow

Energy
11 Lightning
2 DCE

the strategy of the deck is to start with thunderus to set up everything a lot quicker and get eelektrik out using the level balls and set Zekrom EX or Mewtwo EX really quick. The vanilluxe is in there for the paralyzing match ups like mew scoops or just an easy way to switch if i dont have a junkarm or switch in my hand. I would like to take this deck to states so any inout at all would be delightful! Thanks! :D

Vanniluxe isn't needed, there are deck ideas forming around it. A 1-1-1 line of anything is bad.
you'll want more mewtwo
-2 thunderous
+2 mewtwo ex
But everything else looks good.

I'd max out collector for consistency. I think about 2-3 mew two EX is good so I'd add 1-2 for attacking. I'd take out 2 thundurus for that since after you attack once or twice with it everything will be set up.

I dont want to run more than 3 EX's considering you get 2 prizes per EX. If i set another one on the bench it becomes catcher bate and theres 2 prizes. And wouldnt you rather take out a regular Zekrom instead of thundurus? Plus the vanilluxe has saved my butt multiple multiple times.

You really only need one because by the time thundurus is KOd then you will be set up. If it is prized then zekrom EX works too, and you have sage's and juniper to help, along with junk arm.

I would take out two Thundurus and put in two Collector, you really need to get one in your opening hand. Also, given the meta down here (and what it's going to be like at states...) You need moar Tornadus. Take out the Vanilluxe line and put in two Tornadus and another Mewtwo EX.
So, in all:
-2 Thundurus
-1-1-1 Vanilluxe
+1 Mewtwo EX
+2 Pokemon Collector
+2 Tornadus

I am not going to take out the vanniluxe. it has saved me sooooo many times, plus what do i do when i go up against the truth or mew with a vanniluxe NV tecH? hopoe they flip tails? And with all the magnezone and zekrom decks starting with a tornadus will be bad considering the weakness, I can see adding a collector or two, and i would to try to incorporate a super rod or 2

4 collector is essential IMO for setting up and for consistency. A 1-1-1 line for vanilluxe seems dangerous IMO.

^Yes, if you're set in stone about Vanilluxe, then a 2-2-2 or 3-1-2(my preference) line would be best, as vanillite or vanillish are almost certainly going to get CatcherKOed. You could always use Switch or retreat(only with Beartic/Cobalion), but i have never seen a "Mew" deck, as Mew is almost always a tech, and Vanniluxe NV is only used in VVV, never as a tech, because it requires too much setup.

Lots of things up with this deck, i'll try to help.

Pokemon
2 Zekrom EX
1 Mewtwo EX (Definitely could use 2)
3 Thunderus (Don't think you need 3, 2 is probably best)
1 Tornadus (I don't know what this is doing in here consider removing)
2 Zekrom
4-3 Eelektrik
1-1-1 Vanillux ND (I'm not sold on it's usefulness, explanation below)

T/S/S
3 Level Ball - (Would probably drop to two)
3 Catcher
3 Eviolite
3 Switch
4 Junkarm
2 Juniper
3 Oaks
2 Collecter (Should be bumped to 4)
3 Sages (Definitely up to 4)
2 Skyarrow (This will probably end up hurting you more than it helps you)

Energy
11 Lightning
2 DCE

Just because something CAN come in handy in a situation doesn't mean you should tech for it. VVV is not a common deck and if you have problems with that deck, consider altering your deck for consistency or find a direct counter to the deck, not a clunky awkward 'counter'. By that logic, you should put in a 'counter' for every deck because they could get you into an awkward sticky situation.

Tornadus is commonly used in ZekEelsEX it hits for 80 usually by T2, taking early prizes and powdering up main bitters Zekrom and Mewtwo, you can play up to 4 but 2 is probably minimum.

I'm not so sure either. I can see it happening with a celebi in MTC but eelektrik won't be set up until T2.

Tornadus is a good fighting counter but if you don't like it zapdos could work too. That's what it is mainly used for. Thundurus/zekrom would be your ideal starter to discard energy while charging up zekrom or others.
