Hi, this is my art thread. I'll probably add more here, such as sprite work, but for now I figured I'd show off my complete project first. Understand that I in no way think I'm good at art hehe. ^_^
Pokemon Teams
Some time ago (a year? two?), I was bored and decided to have a little fun in Illustrator. Something I always wanted to try to make was Pokemon inspired sports logos, which I felt Illustrator gave me the freedom to do due to the lack of drawing skills. All of these I created are made using things I taught myself in Illustrator, some brush experimentation in Photoshop, and a little bit of tracing using TCG artwork or various other sources.
In all, I created 18 team logos: 12 major teams, and 6 minor league teams. To add to the realism, I decided to pick the two closest regions in the series, Kanto and Johto, to base the conferences off of. This is like how most major conferences in sports are based off a region, like the west and east in the NBA. The best part of making these was I really had to think for some of the team names. For example, Cerulean Tide is a reference to the college team Crimson Tide. Goldenrod Bullets is a reference to both the train and Scizor commonly using Bullet Punch. Pallet 96ers pays respect to the series' release and sports teams like the 76ers and 49ers.
I hope all of you enjoy this, as it was a great experience for me to create these.

There is also a sprite version of two of my favorite logos, but I kind of abandoned this idea. I do like that it gave me the chance to improve some typography errors I saw.
The Challenge
After I finished the Pokemon logos, I also worked on artwork for The Challenge 5. These were very fun to make, especially after I got some experience from my last project.

I think my favourite is the Indigo Conference League with Mew; it just feels very nice and balanced, and of course I love me some Mew.
