4 Level Ball (search)
4 Ultra Ball (search)

STRATEGY:

The main idea is to swam the battlefield with Meowscarada ex. Make sure to have three Sprigatito and one Bidoof out at the end of the first. With two Nest Ball in addition to four Level Ball and Artazon Town this should be doable. Next turn evolve Sprigatito into Meowscarada ex with Rare Candy and make sure to have one Bibarel on the bench. Use Bibarel and Skwovet to cycle the deck and attach Rocky Helmet to the active Meowscarada ex.

SPOILER:

Sprigatito
Basic Grass Pokémon
HP: 60
[G] Gather Sunshine
Search your deck for up to 2 basic energy cards, reveal them, and put them into your hand. Then, shuffle your deck.
[G] Seed Bomb: 10
Retreat Cost: C
Weakness: R

Floragato
Stage 1 Grass Pokémon - evolves from Sprigatito
HP: 90
[G] Seed Bomb: 30
[C][C] Magic Whip: 50
You may have your opponent switch their active Pokémon with 1 of their benched Pokémon.
Retreat Cost: C
Weakness: R

Meowscarada ex
Stage 2 Grass Pokémon - evolves from Floragato
HP: 310
Ability: Magic Bouquet
You must discard a [G] energy card from your hand in order to use this ability. Once during your turn, you may choose 1 of your opponent’s benched Pokémon and put 3 damage counters on it.
[C][C] Nail Scratch: 100+
If your opponent’s active Pokémon already has any damage counters on it, this attack does 120 more damage.
Retreat Cost: CC
Weakness: R

Skwovet
Basic Colorless Pokémon
HP: 60
Ability: Hidey Hole
Once during your turn, you may use this ability. Shuffle your hand and put it on the bottom of your deck. Then, draw a card.
[C][C] Bite: 20
Retreat Cost: C
Weakness: F

Artazon Town
Trainer - Stadium
Once during each player’s turn, that player may search their deck for 1 Basic Pokémon (excluding Pokémon that have a Rule Box) and play it on to their bench. Then, that player shuffles their deck.

CARD SHARK:

Pokémon:

4-2-4 Meowscarada ex:
Meowscarada ex is the main focus of this deck. The idea is to use two Magic Bouquet on most turns to either hunt down support Pokémon on the bench or to ensure that Nail Scratch can reach one-hit knock out numbers.

1 Radiant Alakazam: This card is used to distribute damage counters across the battlefield on the opponent's side. Magic Bouquet is limited to aim at the bench and is also limited to hit one Pokémon there. Radiant Alakazam allows the deck to bypass both of these restrictions.

2 Klefki: Used to slow down decks that rely on the abilities of Basic Pokémon to set up in order to buy some time for Meowscarada ex.

2-2 Bibarel: Bibarel the one of the main draw mechanics in this deck to gain access to needed cards faster.

1 Skwovelt: Combos well with Bibarel to cycle through the deck faster.

Trainer:

3-3 Prof. Research and Colress Experiment:
Both cards provide solid draw power in addition to Bibarel to ensure a stable flow of attacks and snipes from Magic Bouquet and Nail Scratch.

2 Raihan: This card provides some needed acceleration and search to stream attacks with Meowscarada ex.

2 Boss Order: Gust is needed in almost all decks.

1 Klara: Retrives parts of the Meowscarada ex line in addition to Basic Grass Energy.

4-4-2-3 Ultra Ball, Level Ball, Nest Ball, and Artazon Town: These cards represent the main Pokémon search cards in this deck. The latter three are mostly restricted to Basic Pokémon in this deck and are intended to allow the deck to set up fast. Ultra Ball is more universal in that it can also access Meowscarada ex. The discarded needed to use Ultra Ball also works well with Bibarel.

4 Rare Candy: Since the main aim is to have two Meowscarada ex out on the second turn Rare Candy is needed to evolve from Sprigatito into Meowscarada ex.

2 Rocky Helmet: This Pokémon tool is intended to be attached to Meowscarada ex to ensure that the opponent's active Pokémon is damaged after the attack.

2 Energy Retrieval: Retrieve Basic Grass Energy discarded with Magic Bouquet

Energy:

10 Grass Energy:
Needed to use Magic Bouquet and to attack with Nail Scratch.

Hi folks,

Updated the deck since the set is now released and I had a few matches with the deck.
Hey! As someone who is looking to make a Meowscarada deck, I found this very interesting to read!

How were your test matches?

Mind walking me through the issues?
In essence Lost Box is a lot more consistent and fast. Besides that Radiant Charizard versions hit Meowscarada ex for weakness which means that it does not tank that well against that particular variant. It is mainly a matter of speed. The fact that Meowscarada ex does not ohko tankier decks similar to Lost Zone does not give the deck an edge versus others compared to Lost Box. Nevertheless the deck is still fun and viable. Just not tier 1.
