While I do get your Point and it might be valid, I dont see what is „terrible“ about the Mewtu. It’s Not as flashy, but then again - you started the whole thing with a card being to full. I do think it looks pretty nice - way better than the one from Pocket and as I just said: it never fought for Giovanni without the armor and the armor is awful.
The Murkrow is one of my chances, and while I don’t really like team rocket, this is not a grunt. She is basically the commander of the Johoto branch and Silvers mother.
When was it stated that she was Silver's mother? I don't recall it from Adventures. Is it just the implication because of the hair?

Mewtwo; there isn't any background, which makes it look more like a standard Full Art than an SAR. Thinking back to... *sigh* the 151 set, the Mewtwo was absolutely stunning. I don't really like Mewtwo, and I wasn't a huge fan of the 151 set, but that card was brilliant. I loved the cityscape. I also really just don't like people on my Pokemon cards. They can have their trainer cards, but the cards that are Pokemon specifically should be just that in my opinion.
Giovanni is a grunt compared to Murkrow. Murkrow needs to shine. He needs to fly through the forest or a dark city landscape, sort of like the Noivern SAR (which I also loved). I dunno, I just feel like this is a very generic card and they could have done so much more with him. Plus, as I said, I really don't like people on my cards that are specifically Pokemon.
Unless it's Sabrina or Cynthia. I'm always down for Sabrina or Cynthia on whatever.

That Mewtwo card looks amazing. I think Giovani’s mischievous grin makes it. Much better than the generic Ethan’s Ho-Oh.
Of all the interesting ways to depict Giovanni and Mewtwo and they chose to make Mewtwo a parade float. Instead of Regirock/Arboliva/Cetitan SAR we get what will amount to one of the least desirable SARs of SV in Ariana. What a botch job of what easily could have been the most interesting set in years

Just saw a high quality image of the Mewtwo on TikTok. Trust me, it’s sick. I love the red/purple colour palette. Also, the scene looks remarkably fluid.
or Persian SAR (ik we got that with giovanni's Charisma in 151 but who doesn't like bossman with a cat)
I think all of the SARs except Ariana are amazing, the ominous stare on Mewtwo, the Crobat charge, the Moltres in a beautiful art style, Nidoking from Adventures Manga, peak.
I know this maybe not 100% the best place to discuss whether or not Ariana is Silver's mother, but I just wanted to add my 2 cents that it feels rather disingenuous to think there is 0 connection between the two being related across any media. It's probably as simple as the writer's who specifically worked on Gold/Silver or HG/SS didn't want to be so blatant about it and just wanted to be more mysterious instead. Y'know, so kids could have fun and theorize or actually use their noggins.
To this day people still don't want to believe Silver is even Giovanni's son and will instead give 50 reasons as to it all being mere red herrings. Pokemon officials could outright state facts and yet people will still deny them, so I say just let people have fun.
