  • It's not that I'm not interested in them, I'm just horrible at Werewolf. Tongue Like in the TCG one I sounded extremely scummy even though I was Town.
Actually the wolves were leading the attack on you :p. The only way to get better is to keep playing.
What is this "Professor's Exam" you speak of in the Ask A Professor section about Rainbow Energy, Onix, and Ampharos? I don't get the joke.
Brave Vesperia, Yes! What kind of netdecking can I do for easy wins? /s

In all seriousness, what are the good decks out there today? (Genesect/Virizion/Garbodor I recall) About how much would a top-tier deck go for and what would you think the best way to get back into the scene would be? I live in the NYC region so there are plenty of tournaments; I just want to know the best way to get my feet wet :p
    Brave Vesperia,
Last time playing plasma palkia with pyroar, now after the rotation still haven't build another deck.
Brave Vesperia, I know I'm a month late, but thanks! Not sure why I put my birthday as the 8th though - it's actually on the 21st. I think I put the date as the month. Huh.
Brave Vesperia, it's okay. I've already been up to speed with the current trend of Pokemon since my friend got me back into Pokemon from Dark Explorers.
    Brave Vesperia,

It's interesting, but as I've said it does run into problems. An EX with 110 HP is an easy two prizes, but its ability to one-shot both Virizion and Genessect without a muscle band makes it at least an even prize trade. As with both Pyoroar and Reshiram though, the trouble comes when the VirGen player is running Beartic.
    Brave Vesperia,

That's an interesting idea. I admit that I wince at running both Pyroar and Garbodor in the same deck, but I'm interested in seeing how well it does. I had been playing around with both Reshiram and Victini EX, which can get the job done but are easy to knock out in retaliation. However, it's notable that Victini can give some acceleration in the form of Turbo Energize, so he's not completely dead weight in other matchups.
    Brave Vesperia,

I've been experimenting with that. I'm not terribly fond of it though due to the low damage output. What it doesn't shut down is supporters, which can make a big difference. If your opponent can manage to set something up (even a Mewtwo with a DCE will outdamage Toad), then the deck runs into trouble.
    Brave Vesperia,

Thank you! That is a difficult question given the game's long history and my on-and-off playing until I started going competitive. I'm going to go with a tie between the Rain Dance decks of the Base-Jungle-Fossil format and the modern Blastoise / Keldeo / Black Kyurem deck. Blastoise was my main deck until it fell out of the metagame in recent months (not counting a few surprises). As of late I've been favoring big basics with Garbodor variants, especially with the release of Furious Fists.
