So that's why X/Y sucks! It's like D/P all over again!

I want them to have created a game that was actually good, and showed some real thought (and especially love and care for the franchise) put into it. I can tell that I'm not going to find it there.

But why do you even need patches? Why can't you just do fields of grass? If I recall correctly, Colosseum and XD weren't grid-based (correct me if I'm wrong) and they did just fine. We're on 3DS now; scrapping the grid for a handheld system at this point should be totally feasible.

...heck, GBA did it for other non-Pokemon games just fine.
