Okay, I'll just ask the question thats been in the back of my mind from the very start of the story. ...How did they get these extraordinary powers?

Well, after hearing the plans for Violet I can't take my mind off of her. She cares deeply for everyone, but ends up hurting people she is around without even knowing it. Its such a twist that it sort of blew my mind.
And the questions that come to mind, I feel would spoil the story for me if answered. Darn.

gamefreak33797, Oh, that makes sense. But, how often would Violet get hurt or is emotionally hurt? I suppose, Grey is just the tourniquet. The one to stop the bleeding. But wow, Grey must really be selfless.
gamefreak33797, What about Violet though? They are both sort of cursed, but Grey learns to tame that curse. Is it possible for Violet to tame hers or will she forever leak all of her pain on others?

gamefreak33797, So, if Grey and absorb emotions. Is he able to really...I don't know...dismiss the emotions or handle them? Because too much emotions (and pain for that matter) can overload.
Emotional overload, mental breakdown. Too much physical pain, and he can faint (not sure if he could die from it, since the body would still be good, just the feeling of pain overloading his conscious limits.)
