Some Loser, I have no problem with movies being original. Indeed, I prefer them. I'm just stating that movies being good by comparison doesn't make them good - they have to be legitimately good on their own without any comparisons to make. More of a statement of fact than me criticizing it.

...The Avengers, Star Trek, and the Hobbit all sucked. (I tend to say that about movies I never see, after I know what they're about.) I thought the Hobbit was good and planned to watch it, until I found out they're making it a 3-parter.

You cannot make a 3-part movie from a 300-page book.
