To me, remembrance has always been more important than whether or not your soul lives on after death. I believe that heaven may exist, but if not, at least I'll be remembered after I die, one way or another.

Well, I do have a funeral to go to tomorrow and the wake to attend tonight. I didn't want to mention it since I didn't want to kill the mood. A family friend's mother finally died after struggling with diabetes and a lump on her lung that developed over the past few weeks. I was asked to be a pall bearer, since my family was closer to her than her real family was.
