That sucks. I'm so glad my HS has a chess team because only about a 1/3 of the schools in the area have one. Played third board my Freshman year, and then first board sophomore and junior year. Still got one more year to aim for 2nd at team state. It's ridiculous in Arizona there's this school in Tucson that's 10x better than everyone else and so no one has a chance at 1st place.

TDL's pretty good, I don't think I've ever played him, but I know his USCF rating, it's about 100-200 points lower than mine. If you've never really studied you're going to have a bad time when playing him.
