The term "control group" applies to a series of test subjects that don't have anything done to them during an experiment. -In one case, the egg floats in hydrochloric acid because the bubbles of carbon dioxide attach to the side of the egg and make it less dense than the water so that it floats.

Hypothesis: I think that the difference in the liquids density will have an effect on the egg floating abilities!
