Okey doke. Here's a suggestion.
How about a main banner for the thread? Could be something new or your favorite piece except with the text changed a little. Below, a little introduction that summarizes your thread and what you will be doing. It doesn't have to be an essay like mine is but you can make it as long as you want. This would be a good time to mention that you are a shop (if you want to be) or request critique on your works.
For setting up the images I might say to put up a few of your best works, maybe 3 or 4, in the open and everything else categorized in spoiler tags.
How does that sound?
Spammy, hmm... If you're only posting GFX stuff, I would show my newest stuff up top and put my older stuff in a spoiler. I'm not sure if you need multiple posts but if you want, I can help you reserve some.
As in the layout of the thread? It can be set out however you want really. I'm not sure how much graphics you do (whether it's just banners or anything else) so I couldn't say if you'll need any reserve posts that I ended up needing.
What GFX do you do? It'll give me an idea of how to separate and imagine the thread ;]
