Wottergate is a combination of Watergate and Wotter. Watergate was a big scandal that nearly got president Richard Nixon impeached(do Brits know about that?). Wotter (water+otter) was the name fans gave to Oshawott before its real (and crappier) name was revealed. All and all, it was a pretty big shitstorm involving leaked starter evos and cease and desist orders from TCPI. -
