I forgot that, but you're right. I live on top of a hill that was formerly swampland. While most rainwater runs downhill from us and into a nearby creek, some still gets soaked into the ground because of all the underground clay. Our storm shelter is basically useless during severe weather due to how it constantly gets flooded.
I'd imagine those would be bad, given the devastation of ones like Katrina in '05 (though I know that hit New Orleans and was a Category 5 storm). But I guess that's just part of life living on a pennisula, right?
Wait, because there are storms or not? Well, in any case, Wisconsin doesn't get a lot of nasty weather, save for occasional severe outbreaks during the spring and summer. Otherwise we just see a few bad snowstorms during winter.
Ha, that's as bad as a scene from the movie Dukes of Hazard, in which the two main characters posed as Japanese businessmen and offered a guy a job with a starting salary equal forty dollars because they didn't know much the yen was worth (if you didn't see that movie, don't worry. It was pretty stupid and about two backcountry teens trying to save their homestead).
Oh, yes! We got a hundred yen tip, which would be what a buck or two (sorry, I don't know the current conversion for the two currencies). /sarcasm
Stupid phone! Sorry, I overshot the dollar sign when writing that last message out. I think that was the symbol for yen...
Alright, I guess. The job I was supposed to have Friday got done yesterday instead. The customer's father had to get rushed to the hospital the other night so it had to be postpone. He was extra grateful for us doing it finally and gave my dad and I a ¥100 tip to split along with what we already earned.
You are correct, sir! Nothing like literal parasitism to keep friends together, right? JK. So how are you?
*Noxeon sneaks up behind Zyflair, then gently clamps his jaws around his neck, and starts sucking blood in a friendly, joking manner until Zy notices him.* Oh, hi!
