Alt. Format Gardevoir GX Post Rotation

Yes, realised about Sightseer afterwards. Tate & Liza isn't a replacement for Sycamore though is it. I think there has been lots of debate about PFC vs Lillie/NB. We favour the former as it's searchable by Lele to then definitely get basics. You may use Lillie and not draw a NB or a basic...

Alt. Format Gardevoir GX Post Rotation

Looking at options at the mo and will post a list soon. In the meantime could anyone recommend a replacement for Gallade until baby Gardevoir and Xerneas Prism come out. Thanks.

Alt. Format Repurposing Gardevoir GX for Post Rotation (WIP)

Meant the second attack, but suppose it depends on 'ones' attacking style as you say. Makes sense to load up Gardevoirs whilst Sylveon tries to block for a bit.

@Duo, thanks. Do you find you 'have' to attack with Sylveon much?

    Discussion Best Post-Rotation Decks

I think with U.Necrozma-GX, Rayquaza-GX and Altaria-GX being up there or possibles, then Gardevoir/Fairy will make a small comeback.

Max Potion route just needs more energy retrieval, but is an option, certainly.

Alt. Format Gardevoir GX Post Rotation

Thanks, think some stadiums and tools will come to the fore post rotation, but take your point. Could be CB, Escape Board, Frying Pan, Brooklet Hill, Devoured Field, Altars, Ultra Space, etc. Playing 3/4 Lysandre Labs without CB and more energy gets round all that.

    Discussion Gardevoir post rotation

Just helping my son think about whether to carry on with Gardy post rotation. U.Necrozma may be a thing so fairy could be ok. Cards currently in his deck which are rotating, and those also needing removing due to this are: Talonflame (Super Boost Energy) Mr. Mime Gallade Brigette N Super Rod...

Discussion Is Gardevoir GX Still Good in the Meta?

@FrostBiter12 My son managed to finish 25th (out of 87) at Sheffield Junior Regionals, playing Gardy/Talonflame. If he’d won his last game (of 7) he would have finished about 12th. I think he did really well considering he hardly practises, just attends the odd Challenge or Cup, and all the...

Discussion Is Gardevoir GX Still Good in the Meta?

Starting with Vulpix is second choice. Or if you start with anything else, say Ralts, then Brigette/UB for Vulpix, energy on Ralts, and retreat for Vulpix. Then Skyla, or draw, for Rare Candy and Beacon attack for Gardy or whatever is required. Agreed, though, that it can be difficult...

Discussion Is Gardevoir GX Still Good in the Meta?

@FrostBiter12 Thanks, that is the question, however I was forgetting that a Talonflame/Vulpix attack is the best setup! So, T2 (First) or T1 (Second), with Talonflame - energy on Talonflame (if not done before), try to get/draw Rare Candy/Gardy. Attack to get RC/Gardy, or other missing pieces...

Discussion Is Gardevoir GX Still Good in the Meta?

T2 Gardy: I am helping my son prepare for Sheffield Regionals and working on setting up as best as possible. This means using a strategy that would, on average, give the best set up (as per comments above). In some games my son has Cynthia'd when having Rare Candy or Gardy in hand. I assume...
