Alt. Format (BKT-SM5) Eggs and Frogs

You misunderstand my position on Lusamine. I think it's a very powerful card, which only gain MORE potential as we get better stadium cards IMO. It's just A.) not an every deck staple card, and B.) not a great fit for this deck. You'd be better of squeezing in an Oranguru if you want extra draw...

Alt. Format (BKT-SM5) Eggs and Frogs

Venusaur is a toad =P I like this deck conceptually and I'm sure it'll be a fun deck to surprise someone with. Honestly I was thinking about making this sort of deck myself, but this ends up being very clunky. It's a shame because I actually really like Exeggutor GX and I think in a meta...

Discussion Is Raichu GX and Magnetic Circuit Magnezone a viable deck?

It's not about Raichu not being able to handle it, it's about giving yourself more tools to work with (and frankly a more relevant GX attack). The idea is to use Koko as a closer or in a situation where they wouldn't have the tools to revenge kill Koko. If you're going to be playing Tapu Koko...

Discussion Is Raichu GX and Magnetic Circuit Magnezone a viable deck?

I'm honestly not sure why it's a debate. Playing a single Koko GX is a great way to blow up high energy decks like Gardy and Volc and it's also perfect for energy preservation.

News Japan's SM4+ Set: 'GX Battle Boost!'

I'm liking my Buzzswole/ Silvally deck idea more and more as I see these memories floating in.

Discussion Is Raichu GX and Magnetic Circuit Magnezone a viable deck?

I'm missing how Raichu GX, a two energy attacker with 210hp, is "easily OHKO'd" by Gardy? Gardy needs to have five energy OR 4 and a Choice Band in order to one shot Raichu GX. Meanwhile loading that many energy onto Gardy leaves Gardy open for a revenge kill via Tapu Koko GX (Tapu Koko also...

    Standard Shining Genesect/Virizion/Venusaur

I get the feeling that you didn't really look at the deck list and just posted your general feelings about Shining Genesect as a whole, which is fine you're entitled to your opinions but I'm looking for commentary on my list, not the overall usefulness of the archetype. I also happen to straight...

    Standard Shining Genesect/Virizion/Venusaur

Fire type decks are going to be taking one prize from you, so while the weakness is bad your actually trading better than they are if you can get the deck going. Possibly one? I just don't think it'll be that helpful. As for Bulu I'm really trying to keep the number of GX Pokemon in the deck...

    Standard Shining Genesect/Virizion/Venusaur

The old Virizion/ Genesect was one of my all time favorite decks (along with LandoBats, yay Buzzswole!). I therefore find it interesting that there seems to be a decent amount of synergy here again, along with Venusaur to really boost up the damage of Shining Genesect. The idea here is really to...

    Standard Shining Genesect/Venusaur

Is Registeel just for the Gardy MU? Because I don't really think it's worth it to split energies for that. Actually I think Gardy is a pretty good MU for Genesect. You're trading single prizes and as long as you can keep the energy on the board you do massive damage.

News 'Shining Legends Special Collection: Raichu-GX' in January!

Why couldn't they just have let the card be IN the set while also having these boxes with alternative art for the FA or something? Palette swap it with Raichu's shiny... The set is called "Shining Legends" after all.

Alt. Format The Burning Sea (Gyarados GX)

@HouchinsDJ consider that with brooklet hill I can be discarding it with Gyarados after using it for myself. Plus I don't want to run out of stadiums to power up Gyarados

Alt. Format The Burning Sea (Gyarados GX)

Kaiwe opens up the doors for some weird shenanigans, and this is one of them! Did 5 energies look like a little too much for Gyarados', frankly silly, main attack? Well now it's not a problem with Kaiwe! Pokemon: 14 3 Gyarados GX 2 Magikarp CRI 2 Magikarp EVO 2 Turtonator 1 Shining Celebi 1-1...

    Standard Energy Totem (Shining Genesect/Venusaur)

It does help but putting a 2-2 line in there also makes your deck clunky. You're also running a stage two as a main part of your deck. If you start putting too many moving pieces in there then you come out the other end with an inconsistent deck that's not succeeding in doing anything of the...

    Standard Energy Totem (Shining Genesect/Venusaur)

Probably 1 Fomantis and 1 Lurantis for two Virizion. Like I said I'm okay with one in there just to potentially make your math easier but it's not something to center your deck around. There's also Rayquaza to consider too. Ray feels like a late game play IMO while Virizion can get you going...

    Standard Energy Totem (Shining Genesect/Venusaur)

What scenario would that be? Virizion has a 1 retreat cost. And you can directly max elixir your genesect if it's on your bench.

    Standard Ho-Oh/Salazzle

If you don't find room for it you're basically allowing your opponents to have their way with tools and stadiums. Plus unless I missed something on your initial list you don't have stadiums of your own so you could very well end up stuck under the effects of Parallel City all game long in your...

    Standard Energy Totem (Shining Genesect/Venusaur)

    A) It's a basic Pokemon so Max Elixir accelerates (and because of Genesect's ability it doesn't matter where the energy goes) B) You could open with Virizion to accelerate C) Venasuar is basically acceleration D) Turn 1 attachment + Max Elixir + Turn 2 attachment = 3 Energy
